Damn son, you are really mentally challenged, Knighter has NO competitor out there, his server is the biggest custom server there is, claiming others servers stealing his money is an unbelievable ignorant(don't wanna insult you with the word you deserve) thing to say, kill shadow realm lol, honestly what's your problem, people like you are the ones killing whatever is left of this OT community.

We update weekly D: ? I just dont post much on here because the community is hit or miss :p most our userbase follows us off of OTland so (our discord, facebook, email list, website, etc) Shadowrealm is w.e ^_^ they just copy us :) is what it is. I wouldn't say they're killing us, we opened a new server in NA, after they went to NA, and hit 1071 peak on otservlist 3rd day in, we removed all form of passive Archlight Token gain, to decentivize MC's, before releasing NA, and the reception was very well received. I believe Shadowrealm hit 150~ peak since we've been in NA?

He's not staff :p, not actually sure who he is, but I assume a player :p and I'm not away, whenever we go silent its cause were finalizing a new expansion, we already teased info about this 2 weeks ago. The EU server new season starts soon, the playerbase knows what we're working on, we always do this right before teasing a large update/expansion.

Saying some other server "copy you" is a hard statement considering Ashtar's previous server was born far before archlight, I was defending you on my previous post but I'm quite disappointed in your reply, while shadow realm might not be an actual competitor to archlight its fair to say you are "barely" using original ideas, we could say you copied crafting, arena and dungeons from zoltyum since those were available there before even Colors or Zbizu posted those systems here in otland, you are a owner of a huge profiting server yes, that doesn't mean you should diminish any other project out there because you share similarities.

I recommend you check these latest 4 posts (all their latest updates), and then check the dates when we made the exact same changes (a few months ahead of them), and then check the amounts, and wording of the posts as well ;) (Replace Shadow Tokens with Promotion Tokens, and Heritage Points with Legacy Points and it's identical copy & paste from our patch notes several months before) (Replace Strength with Power) (Replace Heritage once again with Legacy) (And the systems that were direct copies, their changes they made were the same changes we made 3 months prior).

To be totally honest, it really doesn't bother us, usually people just hide it better, or take a certain system and make it their own, instead of literally copying and pasting from our news post and changing out words.

They do what they do, and tbh, i like ashtar alot, so I really dont seek ill will on him, we're always trying to stay one step ahead, and I guess our playerbase see's that :)

In the end of the day, id rather someone out there copy us at times, and build the custom OT community bigger, rather than not do anything at all. That's why I really dont bring it up in their thread or on otland :p I probably shouldn't of above either. We're all in this together.

and shadowrealm even has many sistems to encourage everyone to use mcs like u had in past
and still they get such low players
better would be think of some own stuff to add instead of just copy

Yea, we removed all of those cause after some time, i felt it was disingenious (despite being common). I should of realized that earlier, and I apologized to our playerbase 6 months ago when we changed it.

And thank you, I rarely do anymore simply because theres alot of flaming here on otland, and usually not alot of non-flaming. As well, alot of time wasting drama haha. But thank you for the kind words, i'll try to :)

I'm not gonna lie, I sincerely apologize for using your exact same "compensation - coins return" mechanism, Archlight has set the standard out there so people (included myself) considered your method the most fair and efficient, while of course there is no excuse for us to use something designed by you without consulting it with you first.

About the power - strength, while it of course sounds similar it isn't meant to be a copy of archlight, it's just another ranking mechanism since we also support a lot of character - player upgrading systems and resulted to yet again be a very efficent concept.

I respect you a lot @Sir Knighter and under no circumstances we mean any harm to you and your server, I personally consider you and your project have changed people's mind on how cool and big a custom project can become, and we only mean to follow your steps to become a great custom server as well.

Yeah it was removed from the website and discord since it was considered pay to win for many players and they are specially harsh on that subject, no worries tho, from now on I will take a far closer look to avoid heavy similarities between our features and yours, I really want to avoid any misunderstandings since it's not our goal to ripoff any of your content.

~~Game Changes~~

Progression Tokens
Players will now receive progression tokens as they level up (more frequently at lower level, however you will receive them from late game progression as well). These tokens are soulbound, and allow you to win a random amount of Boost Points.

Boost Points
You can now purchase solo/greater dungeon charges as well as +6 hours stamina with boost points.

Tasks
Addon task names has been renamed

Refresh Amulet
Its healing capabilities will be based off your maximum health and mana instead of their base values. Because of this change, their regen % has been adjusted to remain balanced.

Dove Mode
Has been re-enabled again, however with an additional change, now if you are targetted in pvp, you will not be able to run through any player.

Corsair Gun Cards
Fire card will now make the Corsairs attacks hit a small AOE
Created Cards will no longer go straight to your main backpack but instead prioritize guns if they have any room

Lottery
Increase the timer from 1 minute to 10 minutes to allow for more players to participate
Broadcasts will be sent to Discord from now on

Link Copy Warning
A window will popup whenever you try to copy a text message that contains a blacklisted phrase, such as a bitly link (which some use to attempt to trick gullible people into inputting their account information)

They are now able to summon their ordinary summons while casting the underling spell

Seal Bosses
You can no longer run through other seals after killing a single boss

Fishing Rods
You will no longer be able to equip a fishing rod unless you have the required skill level

PvP
You will no longer be able to avoid XP loss by dying to a monster after a PvP situation (i.e. killing another player)
You will now get PZ locked for retaliating in a PvP situation

Monsters
Upon spawning, they will follow you more accurately (i.e. underling)
Fixed the health of exiled creatures (i.e. exiled fighter)
Fixed the experience for Enflamed Otherworld Lord
Fixed the health of ogre creatures (i.e. ogre brute)
Added an extra parameter to monster summoning which should result into less summons getting spawned behind unreachable locations

Map
Over 50 reported map bugs has been fixed

Minimap
Reverted an accidental change that affected how far you could zoom out/in

CTF & TDM
You will no longer get kicked from the event for standing still
You are no longer able to take the flag when the event is over (CTF)​
 
~~Feat Tasks~~
Now requires any type of spirits/phantoms/wraiths
Now requires 2 of any of the 5 world bosses

~~Refreshing Amulet & Oblations / Minor Oblation Amulets~~
Now regenerates 0.5% hp and 0.4% mana every 2 seconds (compared to 2%/1% previously) now based on max health/mana rather than base.

~~Class Balances~~
Archer:Snaring Shot paralyze is now 100% stronger and also lasts an additional 1 second (1 > 2) - movement speed change made that paralyze non-existant.

Bard
Lulaby's paralyze is now 50% stronger and also lasts an additional 1 second (1 > 2) - same reason as snaring shot.

Corsair
Flask and Bottle of Rum both buffed by 15% (Corsairs were healing as much as Archers but have 15% more hp, hence the buff)
Soul Rune no longer requires a target as it is pretty silly to have an AoE rune require a target.
Quick Draw buffed by 67% (Corsairs lacked a filler ability (considering their high cooldowns) that is worth using compared to every other vocation)

Necromancer
Ravenous Fiend range changed to 2 (from 4) so they can make a use of their AoE
Demonic Blood and Bonefiends have been buffed by like 300% because their damage was similar to the summons from level 150.
Witch's hourglass has been buffed by 92%~ but the amount of halved has been halved, this has been changed to match the new regen system (the damage was simply too slow to match the big regeneration numbers) and give more of a "wow" factor for necro players.
Reaper's touch has been buffed by 94%~ but the amount of rounds has been halved. Same reason as above.
Necromancer Soul Runes (t1 and t2) have been buffed by about 92%~ but the amount of rounds has been halved. Same reason as above.

Sorcerer
Change Eruption to shoot 25% faster for more consistency
You can now use the rune freely without the need of a target.

Berserker
Exura ico nerfed by 25%
Life Steal nerfed by 25%
Blood Sense nerfed by 50% (from +60% to +30%)
T1 Soul rune nerfed by about 18%
T2 Soul rune nerfed by about 21% (its still superior to t1, nothing to worry about)

Druid
Fixed the bug where the target would be able to dodge the rune. It now requires a target.

Mages
Evocation has been buffed by 15% (Mages sustain went down by quite a bit since NA is limited to +40)


~~Crafting Changes~~
All crafting professions have received the next tier of crafting.
Cooking has received relic stones for awakened stones (1:5)
Alchemy has received ancient stat stones for large stat stone (1:8)
Tanning has received relic soul stones for awakened soul stones (1:4)
Blacksmithing has received relic rune stones for awakened rune stones (1:4)​
 
The New Season of the European Server will be coming on February 15th at 18:00 GMT.
The new season will come with a large amount of changes, however many of these changes will be applied to NA shortly before the release for bug testing to ensure a smooth EU Launch!
Some of the changes you can look forward to;
All World Bosses, and many Story Bosses receiving "Stages", that will require players adjust how they fight with the bosses based on their current stage.
Blood Tombs Revampped to become a Story Quest before Sharptooth
Cooldown Reduction Gems
Heirloom Point System
New Guild UI - Allowing for better use of the War System, seeing member contributions to the guild (Gold, Exp, Totals, Weekly, & More)
Reworked Equipment Upgrade Tiers Reworked
Rift System (Allowing for a better and more relevant boss fighting system, that isn't simply a race to the boss)
Farming Changes (Ability to seed your entire farm with a click of a button)
