The pacing of these seems a bit off, or maybe I'm missing something important.

I'm almost level 7 and still can't comfortably kill anything besides rats, snakes, badgers, spiders, and wolves. But the only quest that I seem to be able to complete is the one to collect 5 rat tails. I managed to grind enough gold to buy a full leather set and short sword + shield from the quest and that still isn't enough. The regeneration is slow and no pots are available unless you want me to grind 200 rats, which by that time I'll be high enough level to leave here.

So what's the point of these quests if I'm almost about to leave? Their rewards are probably (I'm assuming) tailored to help you get out of the starting area quicker but it seems it's just better to farm snakes and spiders.

Thanks for your feedback, it means a lot, really. That's something we will consider and look into more, we may have to do some adjustments to the creature defenses and also spawn speed. I think we these fixes it will be a much smoother experience inside rook area. I do hope you continue to push through to main, our server has so much to offer, rook area is just a very small portion of it.

This is my biggest gripe with the server and something that is probably going to end my time here (roughly 3 hours in and I don't see it getting better anytime soon).

I'm killing a single crab for over 5 minutes and it hasn't taken a single point of damage. I chose Sorcerer as my vocation but didn't even get a wand? And the cheapest wand is 500 gold? I even got "lucky" and looted an epic club and it's not enough.

The whole server just seems like nobody actually played it and it was just designed on paper with items generated for testing.

Totally valid concerns here, and thanks for the feedback. It’s worth managing expectations a bit though—this server is meant to be a low-rate RPG with the vibe of old Tibia, so it’s not designed to be overly easy or to hand things to you right away. That said, you’re definitely not supposed to take on a crab at level 8 as a Sorcerer with just a dagger. They have 28 armor, so that’s just not going to end well no matter what.

As for the wand, starter ones can be picked up from the mage NPC by saying “wand,” just like in old Tibia. I get that this might not have been obvious, so that’s something we can look at improving for new players.

It’s also worth joining the Discord if you haven’t already—there are a lot of returning players from the last beta season and staff members there who can help out with these kinds of things, as well as tips for quests and other early-game challenges.

Appreciate you giving it a shot and taking the time to share your thoughts—it definitely helps us make things better. Let me know if there’s anything else you’ve run into!
 
We've been working nonstop to fix bugs, make adjustments, and add new content since the release last week. The server's been quite busy, we're up to around 50 players a day and are receiving lots of positive feedback. It's the perfect time to hop in and see the server!

And here I am farming rats and skeletons for an hour to buy a wand, you definitely need to make it more obvious that the wand is available for free, what a waste of time that was.

Rookgard map is great but the mainland map seems awfully compressed. Whoever made it doesn't understand how a proper scale of the world should look like.
Just look how RL tibia map is made, the idea is for a lot of people to play at the same time, you can't have so many point of interest so close to each other, there are no wast, open planes, it's all a bunch of tunnels connected to each other. The very first zone south of the city is so closed, limited and claustrophobic.

Seems like you have no clue how mapping/server works anyway so I can not take that to serious at all.
Since when do you build a server for 200-500 players nowdays without a player base since its still beta?
The server will be fine with the map even with 100 to 500 active players

We’re excited to announce the new Ability System is here! This update replaces the old ability system with a customizable approach using Orbs. Here’s what you need to know:

The Basics:
  • Orbs are special items applied to gear to grant abilities and stats.
  • Items have a set number of slots based on their value—higher-level gear has more slots.
  • Right-click an Orb, then click a gear slot to apply it, granting a random stat percentage within its range.
  • Using an Orb on an item that already has the same ability will re-roll that ability.
  • Orbs are found as loot from monsters, with higher-level monsters having better drop rates.
  • Bjorn the forge master can remove a slot ability for a gold cost. This will delete the ability and will not grant you with a orb.

Rarity System:
  • Rarity is revealed once any slot is filled.
  • Rarity tiers (Uncommon → Rare → Epic → Legendary → Mythic) depend on:
- How many slots are filled
- How high the stat rolls are
- (Note: Not all 5-slot items will be Mythic—your rolls matter!)

Key Notes:
- Abilities can stack on items with existing abilities of the same type.
- Example: Dwarven Armor can stack Physical Protection.
- Weapons can stack secondary damages matching the base ability type.
- Example: A Fire Sword can get additional Fire Damage, but not other types.
  • Natural ability loot items are still in the game—keep an eye out!
  • Conditional Orbs (the talent system) aren’t included yet. We’ll explore adding them after testing the base system.
  • Shards are now unfortunately useless besides decoration. However, keep them around as we consider options for exchange/compensation.


Lots of continual changes happening in Almyria all the time. Now's the perfect time to come check the server out!

Server is an absolute blast.
  • Really nice custom map, with well thought out spawns.
  • Intuitive crafting system.
  • Active and responsive admins.
  • Friendly and active community.
  • Lot's of hidden quests/mysteriando.
  • As it's in BETA it's 100% f2p.
Even though Almyria is still in BETA development, it's already far more polished than plenty of other "fully released" servers.
Absolute hidden gem in my opinion.
