Configuration Adding New Outfits / Looktypes [Detailed + Free Samples]

the tutorial isn't working tfs 0.3.6 I get debug... alreadyput the .dat and .spr into my client folder and when I try to see the monster I get a debug no matter with a summon or I add it to the map editor. Help pls
 
You did something wrong, it shouldn't matter which server version it is, make sure that it's overwritten correctly , and that you're running the correct client from the same folder (shortcuts can some make a mindfuck).
 
This tut worked for me! It was an awesome tut! BUT, I dont know why my new sprite looks like this in my server.. problem with new sprite.jpg it has a white background :(. Help with this please
 
Hmm , that outfit is consisted of a 64x64 picture , right?
If so , seems like the background of it isn't transparent, but white.

You need to use photoshop to delete the whiteness and leave it transparent , then save as .png image. (Sprites should always be .png)
If you don't have photoshop , you can do it in MS Paint, but there you have to make the background pink, then save as .png

Here is an example of how that background should be:

Hmm well first, you need the sprites. Then in this dat editor go to File > New > Effect to create a new slot, or just use any of the existing ones (overwrite the sprites with your own), so you don't have to modify the attributes. (I believe you now already know how to insert new sprites and stuff..)

Once you compiled the new spell animation into data, you will need to edit sources to be able to see it ingame, otherwise you will be able to cast the animation but nothing will happen (it will be invisible). I don't know how this is done as I never actually worked in sources, but I know it because our scripter does so.
 
the dat and spr parts I know how to do but the source part I don't know, can you ask your scripter how it's done?

like in rl sprite u can see the sprites and the other colores
like citizen for exm.
the colore is white it's easy but the other yellow and red must added in dat
u need to make blends and repeat x , y :D

if he just put outfits without blend he will go the white area under the outfit ;)
