Hey, more than 10 years ago I had my own anime OTS called dbrebirth. Now I’m considering creating a new one from scratch, but I’m not really familiar with what’s new in the OT scene in general. What would be the best engine to start with? Is OTClient the way to go now, or is it still better to stick with the Tibia client?"

Only OTClient, it’s a waste of time dealing with the limitations caused by the lack of source code for CipSoft’s client.

Definitely OTClient, the limitations of Cip Client are far too restrictive for custom OTS.
As for the engine – in my opinion, TFS version 1.4.2 is the best choice. And after a long dev session, it’s always nice to chill maybe open your aplicativo de filme e séries to relax a bit before diving back into the code!
If you’re starting fresh in 2025, definitely go with OTClient it’s way more flexible and modern than the old Tibia client. Pair it with TFS 1.4.2, which is stable, well-supported, and perfect for custom features. That combo gives you the best balance between performance and creative freedom for a new anime OTS.
