Alright, I didn't make this program. But it is an open program. Just starting with that.
To get the start button to work you need to change your OTClient.exe name to Engine.exe
To use this you need to edit 2 files
Client Side:
LunaUndater.ini
Website Side:
updater.php
Put your servers IP address into the correct places in these files. You cannot use a no-ip domain or any other redirect IP. It must be the actual IP of the server.
HOW TO ADD THE FILES INTO CORRECT PLACES
Client Side:
Place the lunaupdater.exe and lunaupdater.ini file in your OTClient files.
Place the Lunaupdater folder in your OTClient data folder.
Website Side:
Place the LunaUpdater folder into your main website files.
HOW TO ADD AN UPDATE
Lets do an example...
If you edited an image for OTC UI the file would be in: data>images>ui
So in the update folder in the LunaUpdater website folder you would need to make a folder called data, then make a folder inside that called images then another folder in that called ui and place the image in that.
To make it easy you can just add all the files in your data folder into the lunaupdater>update.
After you have added your updated files you need to use the: LunaUpdate Generator in the website files.
The exe will open on the top left click the drop down and select "create filelist"
Then you are done and when a player opens the updater it will update their client.
WHAT THIS NEEDS
With this being possible we need OTC to check if the files have been updated or tell the players they need to update and not allow the program to start. This way players will have to be updated.
WHY USE THIS
Players will no longer have to re download your files each time you do any sprite updates, ect. It will automatically do it for them.
Hope this is useful for someone.
