Have you thought about adding an extra gem/ability stone altar? Since (hopefully) a lot of people will join, I assume there will be long waiting lines at the altar in depot. One extra wouldn't hurt .

Is there a WASD function?

Most likely not. There hasn't been any WASD function during the other "seasons". So I don't believe Gaal is gonna add one. He has to be the one to answer the question though.
