Crashes:
First off I'd like to start that many of you may have already realized MasterCores is becoming more and more stable for every day that passes.
The crashes are happened less and less frequent.
We've been working a lot with improving the game core to be more stable against all kind of weird stuffs.
especially attacks towards the game.

Attacks:
There's been an increased number of various attacks, these are DDos, Dos, Spamms and more.
They've also been in the game trying to trigger various of exhausting things in hope to pressure the game to a crash.
Again I'd like to point out player abused crashes for "copying items" is still near impossible because the crashes aren't aligned with attacks/actions and together with the incredible frequent backup save system, it's near impossible to intentionally copying items.

And on top of all this they've been targeting the website with various attacks as well, they was almost able to crash it a few nights ago but luckily I have safety systems to close it before any damage is done.
During the last days we've also worked a lot in security measurements against all kinds of attacks we've been targeted with and we've been able to step by step, blocking each type of attack.

Notice however, this is a never ending process, people will invent a new way to attack and we need to be prepared to face it.
However, the longer we walk this line, the harder MasterCores becomes to attack.

Duping Items:
Finally, this has been one hell of hot topic.
But to confirm, there has never been a duping bug in MasterCores..

However.. we discovered a rather serious bank issue yesterday night.
With a right keyword, people could bugg-out the bank NPC to deposit a crazy amount of money to the character.
This bug, was abused of a total of 8 people.
The first abuse happened on October 10, at 14:38 CEST, and have been abused a few times since that.
The abusers, have been sending around a lot of money to random noob accounts, by parcel, moving on ground.
People even tried to stash away huge amount of money hidden in houses.
(because in normal OTs you can't scan houses of their contents easily which the abusers probably knew).
However here in MasterCores.. I can do a lot more than people realize.

All in all, a bit over 30 accounts was deleted due to this abuse.
And a total of crazy amount of KK's have been wiped out. a number too high to even mention.
However I can mention one of the abusers had hid away over 20,000 stacks of 100 crystal coins. (20,000,000,000+ gp).

It took about 12 hours, to cleanup the game of the abusing money and everything it touched.
As obviously, we can't directly hit a button and everything is fine, every case of transfer/movement of money, needed to be analyzed so we don't accidentally delete someone unjustified but make sure there's no abused money left around in unless it was traded for an equally worthy item.
(which means, the only abused money left was fair trade for items or golden scrolls or similar)

MasterCores is now clean!

Final words:
It's actually sick.. that there's people out there that abuse these kind of things on that grand scale and not reporting it.
After all, your actions in the game does reflect who you are in your nature in real life.
But luckily, we are able to handle these kind of *BEEP* people on after-math without hurting the game itself.
