In a very serious server, do you prefer a rook or starting being lvl 8?

An interesting possibility:

You could make the two things, and let the player decide either if he wants start at level 8, or start at Rook.
Then, if the player choose to start in Rook, he should gain some reward, don't know... maybe being teleported to a kind of Island of Destiny... He would get the same eqs that the player who choosen to start at level 8 would gain, plus... maybe... the money and itens he has acquired in Rook...

I once played a server with about 300 players where you had the choise to go to main or rook. Everyone choose to go the main, although then you where still lvl 1 in main. It was pretty cool and realistic not to start at lvl 8. That server had enough places to hunt for low lvls so it wasn't a problem to start with a low lvl.

I think on ots you shouldn't make a rook, because people don't often want to be separated from the rest of the players. Depens on what kind of server you have, you can choose what kind of lvl you want to start with. If you start with low lvl, it can also have the rook idea inside main.

It's not hard to make a rookgaard or a main, you can do it easily even through the website. If you start on rook, you are level 1 with a club, jacket, apple, and a torch. If you choose to go to main, you get a chain set to start. Thus if you choose rookgaard, the oracle takes you to the isle of destiny where you get a brass set. That is the advantage.
