Hello!
I'm a very old user from this forum, my name used to be "Nirvana", but for some reason it's not anymore
Around 8 years ago, i made an OT called "Hukina's Land"... i think theres still something about it on Youtube?
Yes there is, holy moly.
Anyways, while i stopped making OT's, i started learning about video games
I graduated game development university and made a couple of games that were mildly successful
Oldage on Steam
So Long Earth on Steam
Now, after all this time, i'm making the game that i've always wanted to make:
A Tibia inspired game.
I started this a couple of days ago, and made a miscelany of gifs to show my progress:
This is just to show the basic X,Y,Z sorting of the grid
Animated GIF - Find & Share on GIPHY
This is to show level cutting in front of the player using a simple raycast
Animated GIF - Find & Share on GIPHY
This is to show my little secret, only you will know
Animated GIF - Find & Share on GIPHY
Some basic A* Pathfinding (with Z axis)
Animated GIF - Find & Share on GIPHY
Loads of creatures wanting me (Pathfinding works nice)
Animated GIF - Find & Share on GIPHY
So far there is no online code on it, but it's comming, very soon.
I also didn't know where to post this, so i'm sorry if it's in the wrong place - i used to be a mapper so i only thought it was fair
Anyways, i would love to hear what you people think about this, is there anything you would change from what Tibia is nowadays? Do you think this is a good idea? Is it sad that i still love Tibia so much?... probably is right
Any comment is appreciated! Thanks!
