Midhem Online Balance Patch Changelog
We've crunched the numbers to balance vocation damage outputs closer to our internal goals. Differences between classes are now more subtle, with less extreme gaps.

Here's the breakdown:
Vocation Damage Output Ranking (includes spells, auto attacks, reflect – lowest to highest)

1. EK One-Handed: Minimal changes – stays as the baseline for lowest damage.,
2. RP with Bows & Chain Star (Stella): Generally buffed for better output.,
3. RP with Crossbows & Divine Caldera (Mas San): Minimal changes.,
4. EK Two-Handed: Generally buffed.,
5. Monk: Generally buffed.,
6. ED: Generally nerfed.,
7. MS: Generally nerfed (now tops the charts but toned down).,

Paladin Use Cases Split

• Bows: High hit chance, long range, high single-target hits, Chain Star (Stella) synergy, more mana leech, 8% Auto Atk damage standing still.,
• Crossbows: AOE bolts, high attack speed, Divine Caldera (Mas San) synergy, more life leech, 8% Auto Atk damage when running.,

(Example: At 5+ monsters hit, crossbow + Divine Caldera pulls ahead in DPS.)

Knight Use Cases Split

• Two-Handed Weapons: Fury mode for raw DPS, cleave to adjacent targets, reflect on incoming damage.
• One-Handed + Shield: Focus on defense against hits.

General Balance Tweaks

• Mages: UE damage ↓, wand/rod damage ↓.,
• Mages: Wave spells mana cost ↑, but damage ↑.,
• Knights: Cleave damage ↑ to 85%.,
• Knights: Reflect damage ↑ to 50% (two-handed only).,
• Balanced all Paladin, Knight, and Monk weapons.,
• Monks: +30% reflect damage.,
• Base leech ↓ from 10% to 8% (promoted).,
• Knights: DoT damage no longer works in PvP.,

New Top-Tier ItemsAdded for Monks, Paladins, and Knights – gear up and experiment!

Paladin-Specific Changes

• Divine Caldera (Mas San): Damage scales better with crossbows.,
• Chain Star (Stella): Damage scales better with bows.,
• Minimum auto-attack damage ↑.,
• New Ammo: +1 bolt type, +1 arrow type.,
• New Conjurable Items: Holy Star, Assassin Star, Viper Star, Holy Spear.,
• Removed: Assassin Star & Enchanted Spear from crafting.,
• Balanced all bows, crossbows, and ammo stats.,
• Conjuring ammo: Cheaper mana cost.,
• Burst Arrows: More viable for Paladins (less so for mages).,
• AOE Bolts: Can now miss entirely (no damage).,
• New Ammo Type: Diamond Bolt (Diamond Arrow renamed to sniper arrows).,
• Shop Access: Buy all bolts/arrows from Amp NPC (conjuring still better with mana pots).,
• Quest Rewards: Silkweaver Bow (POI Quest), Royal Crossbow (Inquisition Quest).,
• Hit chance algorithm: Simplified.,

Conjure Enchanted Spear: exeta hasta con
Conjure Holy Spear: exeta hasta san

Client Updates

• NPC shop lists: New compact design.,
• Navigate NPC shops & character lists with arrow keys.,
• Cooldown trackers: Now shows Inquisition Dungeons, Ferumbras Ascension Bosses, and Defenders Quest.,
• Sound: Fully working now – enjoy the Norse background tunes!,

Other Changes & Fixes

• Updated many task rewards.,
• Ferumbras Ascension: Teleport back to levers post-kill (not Inquisition room).,
• Mages: Lore gain from magic level ↓ (better alignment with other vocs).,
• NPCs: Idle time ↑ to 90s (from 30s).,
• Critical Hits: Rusty items max ↓ to 3% (from 4%).,
• Fixed: Monk spells with Elemental Weapons.,
• Draugr Task: Every 10k kills spawns a Draugr Hound.,
• Captain: Shows "yes" option after sail request (click instead of typing).,
• Adjusted many NPC product prices/stocks.,
• Ferumbras Ascension: Solo-friendly (1-5 players), 22-hour cooldown.,
• Premium Time: Updates in-client instantly with scrolls (no relog needed).,

Halloween Event!

• An Event Pumpkin is located on Vengoth, giving you 3 hours of 20% XP boost - can be used once every 20 hours.,
• New craftable cosmetic items, using Pumpkins!,
• Pumpkins can be found by killing Event bosses or Farming,
• All streetlamps has been replaced with glowing pumpkins!,
• The Mutated Pumpkin will spawn four times a day on each world, with some interesting rewards for all levels.,
• World light is orange-y.,

The event will end Nov. 7.

New Mainland Continent Released!​

The Lore of Midhem
Midhem is the "Middle Home"—the solid ground at the center of the 2D dimensional universe. It is the trunk of the World Tree, where all other realms attract to, even nasty monsters.

It is not just one continent, but a collection of many worlds joined together. Because of this, the land changes drastically depending on where you travel. If you march far enough North, the land freezes into the Realm of Ice. If you sail far enough West, you find the eternal jungles and endless oceans.

Devblog: A personal comment from Sajgon

We have reached a massive milestone. By replacing the final borrowed map chunk from Tibia, the project now has a 100% custom map and sprites.

Most importantly, this update brings new meaningful content. The mainland continent was almost completely unused because it was built for being limited for hosting Free Account users. As all Midhem content is unlocked, if Premium status or not, it made little sense. Now, we can all enjoy new areas and quests to explore! From now on I will be spending more time on the game's lore and align everything better.

Note: This map is a work in progress, you will certainly find empty caves and broken stairs - but this will be solved over time. Already the map is much better compared to before.

• About 15,000 more monsters on the Midhem map!
• The Banshee quest has been simplified.
• Desert quest can be made with 4 vocations (like before), or solo - but doing it solo will be much more difficult and time consuming.

A changelog will be posted soon with more actual changes.

I've been playing for 2 seasons now and I have to say that I've never seen such a good admin as @Sajgon . The biggest play it bro for me here is no spoof, all botters end up deleted very quickly and each season brings something new. I'm sure I'll be playing next seasons too!

If you're like me, tired of rl type servers, full of bots, Midhem is the best place you can sattle.

As fun as this server is, the GM has zero integrity.
He unbanned cavebotters, because a pvp team threatened to start killing neutrals.

So unless you enjoy botting on servers that pretend to be anti-bot maybe give this one a miss.

Update:
Can confidently say that things have changed for the better.
Now that botters are getting banned, Midhem is 100% worth giving a shot.

• Rules are enforced
• Constant updates
• Any bugs are quickly fixed
• Solid community, the veteran players don't gatekeep knowledge.
• A hidden gem for sure.
