Static ip problems.

Hi, when i try to make a static ip, my internet disconeccts, why..i need to open my ports..lol and for that i need to make static ip..lol

Anyway, making a static IP? Please teach how do you make a static ip?, wtf I mean, what are you trying to do?...

Its normal that when you set your IP to static the internet is off a few moments (about a minute).
If its longer you have a wrong configuration in you ip.

I'll assume you use windows like most people.

Go to start, run. Type: cmd
This will start the commandline interface.

Now type: ipconfig /all
This will display your network settings.

Now you have to write down a few things, (be sure you have the right interface if you have more than 1 network connection)
First: Your IP-address
Second: The gateway
Third: Your subnet mask
Fourth: DNS server(s)

If you've written down those things go to the static ip part again and set the things you've written down in the right colums.
Click apply and it should work properly.
