Windows Table Crash

My player_vip table crashed. Why did it crash?
Could it be because we had a power cut?
Can you repair a crashed table?

I got some error messages in the conosle:
Something about player_vip table has crashed and "Error:Couldn't save player [name]"

Logon to your database, select the crashed table and choose 'repair table'

I tried to repair the table, but it didn't work.
I had a backup so it's working now, but I don't want it to happen again.
I want to know how it crashed..

The crashes occure cause you probably didn't shutdown the database correctly.

Happened to me before, when my computer just shutdown.
