I think that even if it would happen this would be the smallest problem if you look at all the conflicts in Europe right now. There is not going to be an economic meltdown any soon and if there is a "down" in the economy it always recovers thats just how it works... So stop panicking and eat a snickers.
There's a huuuge correlation between the conflicts arising in eastern europe(Russia), ME(Syria, Iran) aswell as China(the "disputes over "their" islands) and the global financial instability. Unfortunately.
Look at pre WW1 or WW2. What happened first? War or Economic collapse? It's a rather big question-mark(even for me, I really don't know) of what will come first now though.. but the US is pressing really hard to create conflicts atm in order to blame this coming disaster on Russia/China..
