Tutorial for running 7.7 CipSoft Server on Ubuntu

Where? I just found this Tutorial been more recently and was just following, didnt know about automated stuff can you point me out? I'm really new to this, heard about leaked file many years ago and never toke it seriolys, but i found something that i wanna test my self and wanna some nostalgia too!

Thank! I found about 3 tutorial and this one from 2021 was the most recent one to me! Was a great at least long time dont play with this stuff..

Can't believe i did all that and there is a better one! Well was at least fun!

Thank you guy for the help. I manage to put the server on using this very tutorial (Was very very very hard), was a amazing hard work and experience, didnt know there were a 2023 more easy and better version, i just come from nowhere searching from google and the best results i found was this one then i just started on it...

Now i'll study how i'm gonna mange to setup mu GOD account to test some theory on this so called "leaked file's". I just learn how use the forum now! If you come here first, just skip this tutorial. Its possible but has a lot of extra stuff to todo. Hope the other tutorial its easier!

I wish we had the actual code for the client and sources with that said reverse engineering takes a long time to get close to 99 - 100% of the actual deal. The better thing to do with a project such as this is to have the community come together under one git where all commit to instead of building separate projects.

What change was made to the "game" binary file?

When I exit rook, the skill advancement rates change outside the standard, perhaps they modified this.

Replace verzögerung to > verzogerung,
in the monster speak.

How to find this ?
Open server rar or zip.
Click search, and type verz.
If you found where it is, go to the server files, and change this.

From: verzögerung
to: verzogerung

I was using the unmodified "game", I came back with the modified game and it worked. Now I can edit the binary to fix the class skills.

I'm gonna share here my experience trying to run a fresh and "clean" server based on the Cipsoft 7.7 leaked files.

First of all, what is the goal of this tutorial?
I'm installing a server for my family and some friends who are old players of Tibia. We had a 7.4 Nostalrius engine based server but we want to play on the real thing and the only way to do that is to use the Cipsoft leaked files. But we don`t want to play on 2006 Zanera server, we want a fresh new server to play and get fun.

Due to a sudden resurgence of people interested in hosting the leaked 7.7 server, I came up with a script to automate all the steps outlined in the excellent tutorial by @Crevasse, and also took the opportunity to make some improvements to work on a more recent version of Ubuntu.

All you need to do is to install Ubuntu in a VM, download the required files and run the scripts.

1. Install Ubuntu 22.04.2 LTS (64 bits) on a virtual machine with VirtualBox​

Simply follow this easy tutorial from Ubuntu, then configure your VM with the recommended settings below:
