I was talking about a player wanting to sue you for not receiving a donation item.

CIP could still fuck you :p

I think the agreements are more of a deterrent to people planning to charge back, rather than a means of fighting them once they do cancel payments

ok i did what you said by asking paypal to check the ips but they said that this is one of there ways of winning the case for you blah blah blah i was then told i should still fill out the online dispute
i sold a kid a virtual item on runescape he paid me as a gift for 100 usd
the next day i sell him 200 dollars worth of stuff but he doesnt send as gift so i make him open and close a claim luckily i did that because when that is done they cant do a credit card chargeback so that is one thing i recomend
saints do you know what i should do? i know if i personally talked to the cc company i could win but it will be hard doing through paypals horrible online dispute because why would some one send me something one day then the next day send me more if i scammed them the first time that makes no sense

I wonder, is there any statistics of how many percent of the donators, that atcually do a chargeback? I mean, is it one out of ten?

Would be nice to know! :p

1/30 at most.
It really depends, usually you can tell who will chargeback by their PayPal information.

well.. there was an OT I was playing and I donated like 150 euros(no geek shit ye xD), so I called paypal saying; under the law of goods act, if they do not provide important information I can get either a refund, repair or replacement and I said refund and I got 150 euros back. AND the server never even restarted I was just drunk and bored ;d; im pretty sure I can win any case without any problems.

when i hosted OT (08-09) i never even had one single chargeback..
I am pretty sure there is a way too set up your donation link as an actual "donation" (non refundable),
which makes the donator agree to the terms of no refund on donation.

I made nearly 10,000 euro and did not have a single chargeback

coincidence or its something you may have overlooked.

Same here, never had a chargeback either.

Chargebacks for virtual items (intangible) are not protected by buyer's protection. You can mention that they bought virtual items and all payments are final. This is their own policy.
