hi
i have an error that says unable to load items (XML) in my console, and i have the XML file already, i have also replaced it but it gives me this error for no reason

Can you post the full error, the items.xml script and your server version?
Did you change something before this happened?

You dont have enough available ram to start the server.

I suggest you close down some stuff before trying to start the server.

A memory allocation error isn't due insufficient ram its due to insufficient virtual memory, if the system didn't have enough ram the system would bluescreen or reboot.

You need to increase the size of your swap file / page systems file.

TFS does not allocate to the paging file, it allocates to RAM so increasing the paging file size is pointless.

If you run out of physical memory the OS will start to swap(or page on Windows), it will not BSOD. Try it yourself: write a program that does nothing but allocate memory and you will see your entire physical memory consumed, at some point you will notice extreme slowness because the OS starts to swap.

i tried this method but it doesnt work. i have also closed every program and my ram is 8 GB

If you're running the 32bit version of the server try running the 64bit, and if you're using 64bit try using 32bit exe. Using the 32bit exe might be well.. retarded if you have a 64bit system, but maybe one of your memory modules are corrupt or this could also be caused of not even enough room on your HDD/SSD, so i would suggest looking around trying different server versions and whatnot. Or it could simply be that your items.xml is corrupt somehow, maybe not closed properly and therefore eat memory until there just isn't any left, try another items.xml but make a backup of your old one just in case.

it still doesnt work, i will just delete the server and all its files, and get a new server. do you know where i can find TFS mystic spirit server.

Just look around in here: http://otland.net/forums/distributions.18/

Although i would recommend running 0.3.6 ( Crying Damson ) unless you want to run a newer version (10.40+) then i would strongly recommend TFS 1.0/1.1
