If someone overbids you and doesn’t have enough money to pay the auction they will be unable to bid again for 7 days, if it was to occur again, they will be banned from playing.
7 days ban for bidding for somebody who got 1 days free pacc due to rollback isnt even a punishment ofc assuming it was a 8lvl 1 day pacc troll who overbid that poor fella

I'm talking about the last rollback. After that, you changed the auction to 1 day, and I accepted it. But today, I had this situation. I understand that it's good you punished the other person, but I feel like I'm being punished for no reason.

I contacted support, but the agent said they couldn't do anything. So, basically, I wasted a whole week for nothing.

I'm really frustrated about this.

Thanks for understanding,

Hey, @Ezzz, despite of all the polemics about the RE code, I have tech questions here:

I saw some posts about vertically scaling, was this due the gameserver performance or some other problem? I read that and I was just wondering how is the performance of this server, just because cipsoft used to run it with 2006 technology and I suppose that runnning a code that is really close to theirs should be a easy task for nowadays servers!

Did you use Postgres database, like cipsoft? or kept mysql?
Did you also recriate their RPC database application? (I forgot the name, it was something-manager that is used to run on leaked binary)

By the way, congrats on your work, I heard about this project a couple of months ago, glad to see it turned into an online server now!

keep the work!!
Hey, I do not believe this is the right place to ask this though, you can send me a PM or write me on Discord 😝

We use SQL, remember that CipSoft was dealing with over 25+ servers at a time, with a lot of services, a lot of data going in and out, we're only dealing with one game server, Tibiara itself.
We do have a QueryManager to handle the server requests from the DB, and also a login server, the same process to manage RealOTS has to be done in Tibiara, however, Tibiara development is easier than TFS, however, it's dangerous, many of the issues we've encountered is because it is coded in C, we have already begun a separate development branch to move a lot of C into C++ code for more safety measures and faster development.

After so many fuck up they have 200+ppl online...

welcome into x1 gaming where brazilans and venezuelans farm supplies/characters for whales, they do not care about fuck ups
they will hop into every new server that provides better $ for 10k or higher services, when new decent low rate starts they will hop into another server. If the prices + demand stay the same they may stay
after those brazilians/vzl players there are 2 (or more) pk teams that target them only for fun on every new server
propably online will hit higher number

We're working very hard to bring a realistic experience. We also have a close communication with our players and we are also banning people everyday for macro and bot usage, we have detection systems in our game. We are very happy with our results, and we will continue to make it better everyday.

Hi,

I’m a bit concerned and wanted to ask about how the Tibiara client’s anti-cheat system works. I understand that the specific detection methods might be sensitive and not something you want to share publicly, which I completely respect. However, I’d like to know if the client scans running processes or accesses anything outside of the game itself on the user’s system. I’m asking this purely out of concern for my own safety and privacy.

Just asked the same and got this answer Tibiara - A 7.4 Legacy World (https://www.tibiara.com/support/privacy-policy)

why not use EAC like darkrest? EAC's eos (free) version is good enough to stop most of the public bots or force them to go underground with limited slots like real tibia bots

Our detection measures is working to detect bots and macros thus far.
However, we're constantly enhancing our detection measures.
EAC can be bypassed as well, nothing is completely "bot-free", they always find their way to bot and macro.

We are open for suggestions in Discord, and to further enhance our detection measures to continue and keep Tibiara bot free.
