will my server still run outside the ip adress

hi i made a new server and i have to go to my fathers house and i would like to play on my ot there. but will i still be able to host ?? i dont know what type of server i have but i think i have a modern acc but i dont know here is where i got the tutorial from

If you port forwarded the correct ports and use the ip you see at www.whatismyip.org at another location you'll be able to connect. Make sure you don't have a firewall or anything blocking it though.
