Spell book is ready!
I'm pretty happy with it. I will make some screenshots for patch notes.

Most likely I shall update live server tomorrow.

Got loads of bugs and improvements to do found in latest update. xD
 
Whi World PATCH 0.1.5.9.2 - new spell book

I have gotten some help with lot of texts used in Whi World
All I know is that his character name in Whi World is 'Antapa'
If 'Antapa' wants more credit, well then, you gotta say so or post so x)

Tutorial:
Npc texts have been improved by 'Antapa'

Items:
Several items got effect description changes. (fundamentally all items still work the same way)
Projectiles can now be stacked up by stepping on them even if your bag is full.

Npc:
When you complete missions and npc shop gets updated. You receive a message about that. (It didn't work correctly on the new npc system)
All general npc texts have been improved by 'Antapa'
Alice: You can now provide her some food again

Missions:
Find Peeter:
new mission
Find Tonka: new mission

Spells:
new spell book. Better damage calculation and shows practically all buffs what alter spells directly
fakeDeath: You now take no damage while faking death (even damage over time)

Map:
Ghoul room:
Poison fields near the ghoul room now should do damage.

Other:
Sometimes you find that your stackable items don't stack. Usually it is because one of the item is more than 2 months old, I'm not gona make fix for that. Just bare with it. It fixes itself in time.

Skilltree:
All distance skills got buffed.

Quests:
Abduction:
Trap is way harder :p

Well that was a slow day. Practically did nothing but lurked around Whi World for hours + did nothing xD
Going to make hotfix update tomorrow, if all goes according to plan.

Also tomorrow me and my friend will play for hours and clear some content if anyone wants to join us.

was a fine.
I found bug.
If your spells says: "this spell shares cooldown with '!spellName' ", then it doesn't work. xD So I can cast heat and shiver together with druid.
If you want to try this out then let me know I can add monuments in town what will change your class.

This was 4th day of duo playing, we breeze trough quite fast. Died very few times.
4 more quests left to do then we have completed all whi world quests.
But these next ones are harder.

We did the ghoul quest today.

We also tried challenge event.
Made new build for it tryed full tank druid.
a shielding. + 20% bigger heal from gems.
i was healing like 200 hp per cast. Kek
And almost felt like I sustain damage like knights.

Cant wait for better items. I did loot the boots (forgot name) what deals enery damage when I cast spell with very small mana cost. but I could lower heat spell mana cost with talents.

Going to try a new damage build in future.

Anyway pretty close to finishing up 0.1.6
Next update I will add the possibility to change classes, but I changed my mind how can it be done.
Instead of letting people change in trough spell book I will add vocation changing statues in the Forgotten Village instead.
I feel game will get too easy if people could change they classes in middle of adventure.
Also changing class could be used as a material sink on later levels.
At first levels it will be free to change class, but the stronger you get the more magic powder it will cost to change your class.

Now an optional change, if someone approves the idea.
I noticed that almost all new players take break after completing tutorial or are left confused what to do next.
I assume because trough entire tutorial they were spoonfed with tips and guides how to play.
And first time in town they are hit with even more information than ever (5 npc's and all say something and give something to do)

I have solution to reduce the sudden change of pace.
After you complete dummy, in the next room there are 2 of the npc's Niine (the priest) and Eather (the tanner who gives the first missions what are kinda must to do)
When you go out the tombs you will end up in middle of Forest.
Your goal is to get in Forgotten Village. (meanwhile you can already do the missions for Eather)
You can go back to the tombs to get healed by Niine or when you reach town she will be there too like it looks right now.

As you can see, the lot of things will remain the same, it's just that the goals are more clear what you should do next and less information comes at once.
What you think? Is it worth spending few days to make this happen?

Working on new special bag

A bag where you can put minerals and building bricks. Will work the same way like the lootbag does. Reduces the item weight to 0 when its in the bag.

Will take few more days before I get it to work, because its kinda a lil more complicated than it sounds like. TFS doesn't allow item weight changes, so I have to improvise.
I know I have already done it before (lootbag), but the fact that minerals can be stacked adds extra layer of complications.

Lore Boss?
Idk, are you ready for the boss? So far there is only 1 person who has access to boss room.
I mean I'm ready to create a boss, but clearly we don't have enough manpower to take one down.
Tomorrow me and my friend will play some more, but not sure will we get access to boss room at the same day.
What I'm trying to say is that Whi World needs at least 2 more active ppl (other than me and my friend) with the lore boss access to persuade me to add the final touch to the endgame.
 
well some already know what has been added to game (there was silent patch yesterday)
Added the mineral bag and feature to auto loot gold (both have slight errors xD) + ofc improved game here and there and fixed reported bugs.

Today I created new quest.
Most likely patch update will come tomorrow along with even more fixes and game improvements.
This time I will do patch notes.

Just a reminder. When I don't write about bug fix, it doesn't mean its not fixed.
I fix them all and add all the suggested improvements, unless I say otherwise.
I do like over 100 changes per week, I only mention most important changes or things what matter in patch notes.
 
Whi World PATCH 0.1.5.9.5 - Treasure Hunt Quest

Huge change in how items are given out to players. Quite possible something went wrong, but I hope not. (This change is technical, visually nothing changed)
Goes without saying this patch brings lot of bug fixes and slight game improvements.

Items:
mineral bag:
ores and brick stones weight 0 in that bag.
loot bag: You can no longer put containers nor projectiles inside it
loot bag: This is no longer an account bound item (only could been used by 1 account)


Potions:
Speed Potion:
Added new potion to the game.

Blueberry season:
There are now a lot more berry bushes.


Monsters:
Rabbit:
Improved his jump. Now they have 40% chance to jump even further
Mummy: Mummies no longer spawn back instantly

Auto-loot:
Players can now auto-loot gold, gems and herbs without having to open corpses. (for gems and herbs you need the corresponding special bag)
Class statues: There are now class statues in the town! Change your class any time.

Treasure Hunt: Added new quest (located in mystery forest area aka the most north-east section of forest)
Cyclops Stash: Instead of leather backpack you get mineral bag (if you have already completed quest, you can buy mineral bag from Eather)

these freaking dell laptops and their chargers.. laptop died while my server was on direct putty control... which means it will take server down with it.

Anyway later today me and my friend will continue playing if anyone wants to join us.

In a week or 2 I will be leaving home.
I'm not sure how long I will be away. Maybe month, maybe more.
All this time I'm away I can not update live server or put it back online if it goes offline or crashes.

If you want to try out Whi World in near future then plz play it right now.
The more bugs we find right now the bigger chance it is for server to stay online when I'm gone.
(I will look into options to access my server while I'm away, but I can't use Teamviewer so don't know are there any other ways for me to use at this point)

This doesn't mean I stop working on server. As of right now I simply can't update the live server when I'm not home.
 
Sorry.. Had a typo in data folder which didn't show up in server start-up but nobody could log in.
 
Whi World PATCH 0.1.5.9.6 - several bug fixes

Items:
special bags:
refactored gem, loot and herb bag.You can no longer put gem sand herbs in corresponding bags by placing item on it. (well you do drag them on it, but when you have the bag equipped)
loot bag: fixed the weight problem it caused when item was taken out of loot bag
iron hammer: fixed bug where you couldn't take gems out of equipment
seed bag: new special bag added to the game. (can be bought from Eather if you have completed Hehemi quest)


Other:
Too heavy?:
If container you are moving is too heavy you can't throw it too far from yourself. You need to `drag` it (cant move further than 1 tile from yourself)

Increased respawn time. (to give some more breathing room when killing them)

healing formula was way too much. forgot what it was before, but now its almost twice as lower

I made a test script to make all special bags in server mine xD, but forgot to remove it before I updated live server before.​

purifying mallet: This weapon now gives additional 10% crit chance (as base, not sure is this stat randomized)

Token bags: Automatically bags are turned into token bag when you try move normal bag to container.

Auto-looting gems, herbs and seeds will give action description message in local chat
PVP what?! Fixed bug where proc>proc damages could bypass the pvp check and you were able to damage other players with some specific combos.

Ghost:
Increased respawn time from 3 minutes to 6 minutes
Ghost: Reduced amount of total ghost spawning in room from 30 to 25
Ghost: Teleport spell radius is now less than 3 not more than 3 xD (allowed them to teleport target from whatever distance)

Improved skilltree formula calculation display.

Wisdom:

Fixed bug where your woodcutting level did not reduce the amount of charges you needed to chop/saw down a tree.


Gems:
Can now be used to upgrade items in 1 go if gems are stacked

Building profession:
because of TFS bug you could not manipulate items from left or south side from wall. Fixed the issue.
You can now build in your house more conveniently
 
Next week I will try squeeze in 1 more play session with friend and calculate out material prices for the shop.
Already I have done some more improvements by playing yesterday so definitely there will be patch or 2 coming.

My house is starting to look better in game. Pretty ass to get the materials though xD

Challenge Event:
Increased requirements for challenge.
You now get notification message if you unlock new challenge event
(you need reputation levels towards Dundee)

Undead Challenge:
New event. Impossible? yes, yes it is pretty hard.

Alright then. This is goodbye for the server.
If it crashes or ISP thinks he wants to give me new IP, it's down for good.

This was pretty good run if you ask me. Next patch will come in ~6 months at latest.

Next year I will let you know how am I going to progress with project offline.

I started working on new itemSystem.
As the old meta table method I learned and used back then is not good at all.
It's not that meta tables are bad, its just in constantly changing environment the meta table rules are too strict and pretty much tell you: "You can no do this!"

Also over time I have learned to love more and more of this functional programming, so the complete change of itemSystem is inevitable
