DeathZot ( The Restoration Project)

Here are some screen shots of stuff I've completed and that the server has to offer. Also to the veteran players, I've decided to replace all the previous teleportation items with keys. I did this because I think its a lot easier to understand & organize them. Before there was just random items, now it's all keys. However, higher end teleportation items such as; father time's bran and the hand of god will remain the same.

This would be a valid point if it weren't for the fact that the developer himself encourages botting.


Also, OP, don't get me wrong. I don't dislike the server. The complete opposite, in fact. I like it, which is why I'm commenting and trying to get you to realize that botting and overpowered donations are problems that will severely decrease the server's quality. But apart from that, the sets are looking great, although some of the items don't quite match the set colors.

1. Who cares? You can also get the best items by playing the server normally, which is all that matters.

2. No where in this thread does Synthetic say he encourages botting, Synthetic said he is using client 8.6 because it is stable, quit drawing faulty conclusions.
 
I lold at the kid trying to say that the servers not going to go well because of the "op" not-so-donor items and allowing botting. Youve obviously never played the first dzot. Everyone botted a little it was and always will be a part of the game whos to dictate how someone else plays the game. You wanna bot fine. Get level 1000000000 whatever.. Ill play legit and get my t7 set and still kill you. Thats all hes trying to say is possible.
 
Alright so now that a good portion of the beginning part of the server has been completed, I realized that because I changed the reduction of the equipment that monsters are hitting a lot more. So I'm going to reduce all monster damage by roughly 20-25% and increase the reduction on all equipment by 10%. This means T1 = 20% Reduction, T2 = 30% Reduction and so on. On previous DeathZot, Tier 4 set would give a total of 66% reduction and then Tier 5 went up to 88% which I think was a bit crazy taking 88% reduced damage and it made it hard to kill anyone in Tier 5.. not to mention Tier 6 set left you at 98% reduction. With those old values in mind, it would be hard to balance the server for anyone who has Tier 6 because they would just steamroll through the server. So now Tier 6 will give 70% reduction, which is about 28% less then before hand. The reason I'm making this changes is because I've removed the ability to 'Revoc / Reborn'. The reason behind these changes are to add a ton of more content past the oblivion halls so there will be a lot of new things to explore in this restoration project.
 
This just looks fantastic. I am so looking forward to logging on this and start playing, 5 more days!!!

How is it "all that matters"? People will be able to have possibility to buy the best items in game and be instantly better (or equal, to the people who played for a long long time just to get what a rich kid can get in a second) to everyone just because they have real money. How is that not overpowered and unfair? Hell, I'm not even saying "remove donations!", I'm just saying don't let them have the best items in the entire game just because they have money.

And he said he won't punish botters at all. How is that not encouraging botting?

Not everyone botted. I knew a lot of people who didn't bot in the first dzot and just like me are against botting in general. And to answer your "who is to dictate how people play the game?" question: How about the administrator of the server? You know, the guy that makes the rules and tells players what is and what's not allowed?
 
Your misunderstanding my statement. Im sorry ill put it into words you can understand though. People want to bot. People are going to bot. Why ban everyone from a server who bots when you can do just as synthetic is doing and make it so they cant get what they need after they bot super high? Yo can be level 50k and not be able to kill mosters a level 10k who played legit can kill. All because you botted. See the point? It encourages plaayers to play legit rather than botting. And idc what you say 95% of the dzot community use bots weither it be healing, light , or cave bot everyone did it. I botted just running around town in my t6 set to i couldnt die. Id wake up to backpacks on backpacks with money. I dont think its wrong that i worked for my gear and used it to get free money. But thats just me. But you gotta look at the community a lot of people want to bot just for light or healing. Personally i dont think you should get banned for not wanting to destroy your f1 key.

Edit; in the screen with the monsters, there a MOB called "Elf Assasin" shouldnt that be Assassin? =P

It should, but I copied it from the original DeathZot server which it had a typo on it.. so I think I'll leave it :P

Once again, you can't face reality. Donators cannot rule the server because there's nothing special about them. Anyone can surpass.
I'm guessing it would be OK for a F2P player with best items available IG to dominate the server while the donator has the same items and it isn't OK?
I find it kind of ironic that you bash donators when you're to thank them instead.

Also, I can assure you that no one will pay 6000$. All donation money will be scrapped from paypal accounts, ranging from 1-40$~.


However I read something about donations being shared within the community, players online at the time being will profit from another person's donation if I recall correctly. Here's something you might consider as botters will profit from this.

That sudden feeling of nostalgia when reading this thread... ah.
Once soloed a taur of exp on my barbarian, took me like a hour - man was I disappointed with the exp I got, that's sadly the most sealed memory of DeathzOT in my head. Oh well... I won't be playing on it due to being too busy with my own project, but I wish this the best of luck, DeathzOT deserves it.

Well obviously the system doesn't automatically add points to everyone online at the end of the month, and I will know which players are real people by the end of each month. The server donation-pool credit will be handed out to people who are genuine players and contribute to the community, not some random people who log on and bot and just killing people
 
Everyone needs to drop the whole botting discussion. Its his server, and he's going to what he fela is right for the community of said server. And plus if you think about it look at deaths servers. They're designed for botting. Give me one name of someone in chaos that was level 10k+ that didnt bot. Didnt happen. Same thing with deathzot.

The thing about people profiting from donations is. I wont donate, ill probably bot occasionally but ill still profit from it. Everyone would have a chance people that donate, people that dont, people that bot, people that wont. Its for EVERYONE the way you stated it. And who cares if people bot tbh. Its the way they want to play. I bet your not on wow or diablo 3 foums complainin about botters. Its a game dude play it your way and let them play it their way. Kill them if you see them and keep enjoying yourself.
 
Btw... You've been saying that you'll release Deathzot soon. But whats the deal regarding advertisement? Server will suck if it lacks players such as many other custom ot's nowadays.. I'd rather wait a week or 2 for you to advertise properly.. (Advertisement Thread <> Countdown @ Site <> Countdown @ Otslist? <> Thru other OT's?) And whatever else that could be done to properly advertise :>

Just saying this cuz I wish this ot the best aswell as any other player that'll enjoy the server even more with a nice steady community

Not everyone botted. I knew a lot of people who didn't bot in the first dzot and just like me are against botting in general.
