It's time for some events here at Lunarforce. We're going to go through a few different events and you will be given a short description of what the event(s) is all about. When you have read about all the events we want you to cast your vote on your favourite event. Note that we will eventually launch all the events but we will follow your opinions and priorities. You will be able to read about what the events is all about here below, but it will range from football tournaments to PVP tournaments.
Just one thing before I'll head into the events. All the prizes and benefits that you can win by participating in the events will be determined when we have enough votes to count and when we have come to a decition about the following event. The only thing that we can tell you at this very point is that there will be exclusive rare items and trophies.
List of the upcoming events:
Lunarforce is as you all know a server with Hardcore PVP mode enabled. Therefore it is obvious that we must have some kind of PVP-events. But don't worry we're not going to forget that we're also running Lunarforce for RPG'ers! But first of all, the PVP-events. We have thought of two basic but very entertaining events.
PVP-Event #1 - "Fight with your mirror"!
Just as the name of the event says, this PVP-event is all about fighting someone likewise you. More exactly, a player with the same vocation as yourself. You all might think "this is not going to work, neverending battles". But there will of course be restrictions. For example we will not allow people to use magic walls or wild growths to fight with (you will not even be able to use them in the PVP area). You are also not allowed to use unlimited amount of runes and potions (also here you wont be able to use more than X amount), so use them wisely! By using technology and priorities, you can easily beat the other player, that is something that we want everyone to consider before signing up for this event.
PVP-Event #2 - "Last man standing"!
The main idea behind this event is clearly an Everyone vs Everyone situation. All the signed up players will be placed in an arena where they will be able to fight against EVERYONE and the winner is obviously the last man standing. Also in this event there will be restrictions to make the event more entertaining. For example, there will be no magic walls or wild growths in the arena area. Also there will be a restriction on how many potions and runes the players can use. On this event it's really up to tactics but to stay true to your own capacity. If you find this event entertaining, sign up!
And now for the Community-events. Of course we want to bring Lunarforce community a bit closer to eachother and therefore we're going to launch a few community based events. These events will of course also be benefital to join but will not include PVP in any form, therefore we call it for a community event.
Community-Event #1 - "Football tournament"!
Just like the Champions League Cup and World Championship Tournament, football events in Tibia is a classical. And of course this is something that we will bring to you in Lunarforce. You will be able to sign up as teams and participate in the tournament and fight for your team to win the final football game. We will of course reach out with more detailed information to all of you later on.
Community-Event #2 - "Capture the Moment Contest"!
This is the only listed event that is a bit different from the others. Oh well, all events have different outcomes and purposes but this one has a whole different structure and this contest will be a more long-termed contest (not long-termed such in several months). The main idea is that the signed up players will have to take a screenshot in Lunarforce and write an accompanying text (maximum 100 words) that symbolizes Lunarforce server and the main idea behind Lunarforce (hardcore pvp meets RPG). The contest timeframe is not yet decided but just an example; The contestants have 5 days to apply with their work and then the judges (twifysoft staff) will decide the top 3 pictures and announce the winner 2 days later. (NOTE THAT THIS IS JUST AN EXAMPLE).
Community-Event #3 - "Wrestling competition"!
This event will be hosted in the wrestling areas in the rich swamp town Venore. Below the main depot there is an area where wrestlers are welcomed, so why not take advantage of this very entertaining kind of event. You can launch the event in different type of ways, 1 vs 1 or in teams and that is yet to be decided but the main idea is that Tibia players will meet eachother in this wrestling pit and fight for glory!
With this said I think we made our point clear. There is a public poll in the top of this thread where you can vote for your favourite event. The poll results will be used to determine which event is of more general interest. Please take in consideration that all the events will eventually be launched, but we want to let you choose which one is first to go! By selecting an option in the poll doesn't sign you up for anything. To sign up for the upcoming events, please wait for the events own thread where we will setup a sign-up system.
