The server overall as an rpg feel can give you a very genuine experience, although it is not ready to be officially out upon start of the server there were numerous bugs found even though there have been beta servers of it which is understandable sure.

But this server on the surface only works as RPG the more time you spend inside of it, and the more you play the more you get to see that it's really just surface level RPG so many things are unbalanced and are getting constantly changed there changes have been made and are being made on live servers as if they're not even checking whether it works.

There have been many restarts/changes/fixes/patch notes changing things from like how smp's could've been used by everyone to changing it only to be used by mages a sudden change.
Nerfing classes that have been known to be super powerful early game after like 4 days.
Overall the balance of the server in the classes and professions available is in shambles it's a complete shit show.

If you don't know how to play it because you haven't played Gothic you might find yourself stuck in many places because there aren't any actual tutorials for new players, by the time i'm writing it they will probably add some things in.
If you add <Learning Points> wrong because you're a new player and you don't know how the server works you're screwing yourself over, and because professions aren't fully balanced yet alchemy is probably the most LP costly profession, blacksmithing just sucks because it doesn't even work, and i think i've seen people complaining about not being able to make runes "yet".

The STAFF team and or developers behind this don't really know how to balance things out in the server to make the basics work and they should focus on fixing the basics of the game instead of adding new content which i've heard they will be adding new content even though "basics" that should've been fixed on BETA already aren't fixed.

Their writing of changelog/patch notes actually is bad, so whenever they fix something on the server you have literally no clue what was fixed, there was points in the server where you couldn't progress your class, some quests or even the main story because npc's didn't work so they tend to type it in a very "generalized way" <FIXED SOME NPC DIALOGUES> bro there's like 500 npcs which one did you fix.
After it was pointed out to them by a player that their writing about patch notes/changelog or possible fixes on the server is horrible and the player felt wronged because of the constant restarts the server experienced instead of compacting it into one restart at the end of the day they made a few of these during the day, so they suggested that they should probably elaborate more in changelogs make them more often and probably restart at a later hour, there was a few people that agreed to that idea but some particular people on the STAFF team weren't happy with that so they ended up silencing that person by muting them for 24 hours.
And the best part comes in at the end of that they still decided to implement the idea of the suggestion but kept the player muted.

There are some bugs on the server that even though people spent hours on them to find them, and they've been reported the STAFF team takes like 8 hours to fix it, and just keeps the server running anyways i've seen people abusing LP bug which was dying at like 1-8 and whenever you die and level up continously you get LP and i think you can get about 120 LP with that bug, it was reported today at around i'd say 1 or 2 pm and it still haven't been fixed and i've seen mountains of corpses of people abusing it to kill other people or to get further in the game.

One of the biggest guilds on the server stinks with homophobia and racism as they would engage into very oblivious typing/texting, there's quite a bit of controversy around the guild because a few members of the STAFF team are actively playing the game on their private characters and yes they're in that guild.
There are some good people in the staff team some that are actually good people, but i'd say theres only one person i'd consider a good one and the rest of them can bite dirt.
I played here before, i enjoyed it, i played here now i enjoyed it it's a good idea for a server it's a good server but the more you play it the more you hear and see and as much as i wouldn't want to be biased but with the amount of shit storm that's surrounding the STAFF team about intervening on the ot to help specific players, and to say power abuse against some other players, i don't think they can be trusted anymore, especially with the way gamemasters or a specific "owner" and a community manager respond to the suggestions to improve the server or allegations alike.

I've seen people get muted/chat banned or deafened from suggesting changes on the server, same goes with community's discourse about the unfairness that is visible to some.
One of the gamemasters really has a poor temper and can't handle debates or communicating with the community to the point that he'd threaten to ban people, honestly the guy's a joke and you can't ever take him seriously every single time he begins to type out because you know it won't be anything of value to the conversation he could literally ignore everything you say, ban you and then proceed to implement the suggestion you've given to them.


There's still so much more shit about this OTS but i'm at lack of words i've enjoyed playing here for as little as it was fun to play here, but it's time to go, it's been a great waste of time waste of ambition i feel bad for the people who have spent time developing this OT but then having it END in this way because of a group of people that dictates how the server is ran along with a GM on their team.

Top guild with Gm's on their team proceeds to abuse a mechanic for 3 days,
The staff team be like:

A person proceeds to stream a mechanic that is available in game and was abused by that specific guild and the STAFF team decides to ban multiple people that have typed in the stream from their discord, and the next day just as it was fully and perfectly predicted as this entire OT is just built under some people, and changes are dictated just under some people.

It was fun, until it turned out that the biggest guild on the server had a Gm in its members. When something bad happened to someone in his guild, ovner immediately did everything to help them. Additionally there is no "exiva" spell on the server, but strangely enough the dominant guild easily found its victims. Not to mention the shadow nerfs when other players started using bugs which were used by the dominating guild. Literally in front of my eyes on the stream the sleep scroll was disabled because it was used by normal players. Additionally the cm of discord is using the bot as if nothing ever happened or advertising the server on other servers, great behaviour. Overall for the idea 8/10, execution 7/10, elaboration 3/10.

Info for newbies, if you want to be part of the beta test this is something for you, but be careful, if you are not in the dominant guild you will just die, Gm likes to kill players and call it trashing.

I don't recommend it, waste of time and nerves.

However, the server's popularity proved you wrong, and the first thing you did was to abuse everything possible and work against the server's success. Despite your behavior, none of you were punished, although I believe the server needed it beacuse PA is part of the game. However, you went so far as to abuse the game's weaknesses that were being fixed regularly to give players equal chances.

About last two days, I must remind you that it was Valentine's Day, so when you were causing chaos on the server and abusing the bugs you found, I was on a date with my girlfriend and couldn't fix it. When I returned, I just had to fix all bugs ASAP and stop the panic, propaganda, and spread of false information on Discord, as all you did for two days was to write negative things about the server as if you had a personal grudge against it.

I looked at your profile on Otland, and I see that all you do is hate on all the servers and destroy them. I've heard that you're famous for "destroying servers," and you even publicly said that you're going to destroy Gothanie until it falls on twitch.

I want to add that the bugs have been fixed, and the people who used the critical one with LP have been banned/removed from the game.

Here's some little sneak peak about upcomming update, that will feature Temple of the Sleeper known from Gothic 1. I hope you will enjoy it soon.

Server is Polish, Dominant Guild is Polish, And admin plays alongside them, invisible /goto targe. What did you expect? They have too much time on their hands, if Devs were focused on developing servers and fixing shit instead of messing other people gameplay. Corrupted and i suggest to stay away. Just the atitude of the admin is a rurn away point for me. Arrogant dude. He better stay in doors, he has issues to hide his emotions even online.

People shouldn't believe everything they hear without seeing proof first. Nobody who started playing on gothania had negative opinion about it, everyone had great expectations and were happy to playing it, looking forward to how much the server could grow and hoping it could become something big someday.
There were people who abused things but thats only because you didnt fix it for 3 days like the LP bug that was known to you guys for many many many hours, it saddens me as though that you would be one of the people generalizing everyone under "trolls" or "griefers"
But then again i have nothing to expect from someone who can't keep Neo on a leash.
Ah yeah the panic and propaganda that was spread surely was the reason you took away Neo's GM you just want to build up a good image for the OT again, bro there has been so many allegations and problems within that one constant loop of things about STAFF members helping out other players and abusing other people.
And after a few days now that everyone who has loved your server, began to hate your server express how much they hate it and that they will be leaving you're just trying to maintain your self image, it's fine i get it.
I have nothing to say to you, and i hope people who will end up testing your OT won't be such fools to spend whole 4 days playing there and sacrificing their time, because time is money and that server ain't worth that money.

And we see more made-up nonsense... The LP bug on the server wasn't there for more than 24 hours, and everyone who used it got deleted. Those were fresh characters, because you could only use it on those. And it was fixed so late because I was unavailable at the time. I don't understand why you keep repeating the made-up version and providing different facts every time.

As I've said hundreds of times before, you're a bunch of trolls who sit on your Discord and brag to your leaders about how much you trolled/annoyed on Gothania Discord. Don't be surprised that we're dealing with you shortly, and you end up with a mute or ban.

Even though you're not on the server anymore, its popularity is maintained and even growing.
