Hello!

I'd like to know if there exists a tool that let you import images into a map editor and which will associate pixels with specific tiles? (example : R0 G204 B0 pixels will make a grass tile)

If not, is it possible to convert .otbm maps into .xml ?

Thanks!

I'm not sure what you are asking, if you want to add new sprites, you can add them to the spr/dat of the client and in the items.otb/xml, then load the client in the map editor and add the otb/xml.

I want to associate pixels with tiles, via importing images (png, bmp, etc...).

I want to import this "minimap" image :

GR7bT2d.png

And convert it into this map :

bzYMo3L.jpg

My question : Is it possible with the current tools available on OTland?

If not, can otbm files be converted into .xml (and vice versa) or any other kind of editable files? Because I will make my own matrix routines and write a xml/txt file.

No buddy', I want to "generate" maps by importing image files (minimaps) that associate pixels with tiles. So let's say I import a 30x30 px image with blue pixels, the map editor will create a 30x30 sqm area/map filled with water tiles.

Check tools selection in this forum. Trust me, there is a beta program what converts jpg/bmp into otbm files.
That thread is ~one year old. I tested it long time ago.
