New OT server like shadowcores.twifysoft.net @Mark and @Hani

LunarForce, ShadowCores and also Softcores <3 really nice OTS.
If Hani, Mark, etc. will make a server like these ones I will 100% play it.

As Aoxomoxoa mentioned, running a server is very time consuming, requires dedication, time, patience and what not, I believe you can make a lot of money with a top tier server with a lot of players but not even close to the amount a talented developer would get working in a big company or even free lancing some big stuff.

If you live in a poor country it might be worth it for some time but the amount of time you have to invest every day with all the headaches isn't worth it, you get too little.

Honestly, this is the primary question here and nobody seems to be able to answer it.
smooth, no pay to win, able to enter with various client versions, no God or Gamemaster power abuse. good rates. low loot rate, 90% like tibia rl.

you forgot to say about the amazing staff unique, but i believe they did get a message from cipsoft to shutdown the server, shadowscore was almost a real company the problem was cip

You have plenty of servers like that around now. You can't possibly make a rl map server pay to win, on most you can use different clients, they're smooth and you never see any GMs/Gods ingame. Low exp rates and loot rates.

Literally nothing different than Shadowcores. If Shadowcores still existed it would literally be what gunzodus is today. Why can't people just understand and move on? You literally have the same type of servers available today...it's like this whole "classic tibia" experience nonsense going around. There's literally hundreds of classic tibia servers out there but people keep complaining that "it's not the same experience", then wtf makes it the same experience, they're literally all copy/paste servers.

Especially the "upto date" servers...what's so different about them that doesn't resemble shadowcores in anyway.

Also...

Why not just play the real game? If you're going for upto date with cipsoft servers then why not just play the real thing? It's literally the same but you have to pay to play, less competition for exp areas, no 100000000 mcs running around on bots and literally the same experience.

I thought OTS are meant to be something unique & custom and not just copy/paste of what cipsoft is doing. I get that not a lot of people want to or can pay to play but how is it fun playing a server that has 800+ players online but in reality it's 200-300 or even less with tons of mcs farming every single area that can make any decent money 24/7. Pvp is the only thing that comes to mind but still it's ruined by combo bots, auto targeting etc.

Quit complaining that things have moved on, nothings changed in reality...you literally have the same stuff available today. Shadowcores was great and fun because they were the first to do what they did but you guys have to stop holding onto the past and move onto these other existing servers that are literally a copy/paste of cipsoft tibia which what Shadowcores was...

hater xd

also i don't know about gunzodus and the other ots but shadowcores had rlly good pvp-e exp rate

The exp rates are exactly the same, the only issue is bots are massively used and before people bot an account they leave it on offline training for a couple of days. Go get lvl 20 for basic spells and then bot dragons for hours with no issue. That ruins every part of the slow leveling experience because you go afk for a couple of hours and have lvl 100+ from there you bot another area and in 3 days you can have 200+.

In my opinion the botting community has ruined every fun part of a real map server and the owners of servers allow it because it brings their numbers up so in theory "new" players are more attracted to it.

i'm just checking now, if there are any plans on a retro shadowcores rerun, and reading theese comments like bruh.
No, none of nowadays servers have "that" smoothness as twifysoft servers had, it's not really explainable, i tried to guide gunzodus servers for a while reporting all kinds of "off feeling" mechanics, many time it just ended with "but its like in real tibia", and well yeah, it was true.
Shadowcores had unique features, and unique smoothness I would say it was waaaaaaaaay smoother even than rl tibia or any 8.7+ot out there ever.
Another thing:
Now there are ots like rl tibia copys aka 12.xy ots,8.6, and 7.4 mostly but I believe the ots community lack very much, ots like shadowcores, that was from before the ultimate manapot/imbuements and orhsbal hunting grounds era after the 8.7 update aka you cant spam aoes. That era was the golden age of warmodes pretty much, yet gms refuse to make one decent server, kinda sad but it is what it is.
The point of what i wrote is really just an explanation why people would like very much just a retro rerun with no real updates needed both twifysoft servers.

"The past weeks we have been busy starting up TwifySoft as a business in Sweden, it’s our first time trying to run a business and it’s not as easy as one might think to get started. We registered TwifySoft as a business because it makes things easier for us and shows that we’re serious about what we’re doing. We’re not just starting up the server to close it the next month. This also means that we’re changing donations into purchases but it doesn’t change the payment process, and we will still be using money to improve the servers to provide you with the best experience."

This is what made Shadowcores different, they were intelligent; dedicated and had goals. They also enjoyed working on the server and as mentioned, at the time of release (9.6) - warzones and gnomebase had just come out which alot of players had yet to experience due to it being a high level area and Real Tibia wasn't as easy as it is now, making Shadowcores the perfect alternative.

"A leap second was inserted in the system last night, June 30, 2012, 23:59:60 (01:59:60 CEST). Our system wasn’t ready for this which caused a serious bug to occur. We do not expect this to happen again in the soon future (the next leap second isn’t being inserted anytime before 31 December 2012).

We spent over two hours compensating players for their losses (some players died with red and black skull and dropped all their items). Anyone who died during the time of the bug has got 10 shop coins added to their account. This should be more than enough to buy new blessings (as you can get 50 crystal coins from 10 shop coins), or it can be used for something else in the shop.

We’re very sorry for this, and at the same time a bit happy because worse things could have happened (imagine a crash and a rollback to last server save, 19 hours), and we were awake to address it quickly. We will definitely have it solved before the next leap second is inserted.

We had an update ready, but had to postpone it until tomorrow because of this event. We hope to be able to apply this update tomorrow without anything like this getting in the way. We would also like to thank everyone who was patient while we had to deal with all the impatient players who were constantly spamming us with their frustration, although we do understand them it did not help at all."

This is how they handled and address issues, full details with proper compensation. No one ever had to worry about issues even when there were issues.

"What have we done to make it fun and easy to play? First, we created characters of each vocation and tried playing them to Level 50, wrote down what was boring, at what points a certain vocation required better items and how they would get gold for equipment and runes. Our conclusion were that the following changes had to be made:

  • Added a Djinn shopkeeper in Thais that will buy valuable items (it will be more beneficial to make the quest though, you will be able to sell your items at a better price there, but we’re no longer forcing players through that long quest!)
  • Players will receive a sum of crystal coins at certain levels to help them buy equipment, runes, promotion or perhaps a house.
  • Players will receive items at certain levels, depending on vocation (only up to Level 50)
"

They also put "thought" into things where as alot of server hosters just throw things at the wall and wait for them to stick; in the case of Shadowcores. A business was formed with a team of people discussing the best options for a truly long term and successful server. Which they completed by every aspect; as mentioned there are servers like this that exist; we just have good memories of the team and servers behind TwifySoft so it's understandable to want them back.
