Before fight:

- Sort BPs
Make sure you have all things needed. Many people would bring only basic runes like SDs, UHs, mana fluids and MWs. You can never be 100% sure to win a fight but if you are the better prepared one you definately have a better chance to come out on top. I won't mention more on this but if you stay tuned you might get some tips on what is good to have.
- Know the map
Knowing what your battlefield looks like before you get there is always a big plus. You will have all info about where to make traps, where to fallback into defence, places you should avoid and the best escape routes. Use this info in both ways: don't walk into traps, push the enemy into places you would avoid and block their escape routes. However, if you have to fight in a area you haven't been to before you still have to give your best shot but then you need to be even more careful. Walking into a trap without knowing it is the last thing you want to do, so pay attention to places like rope spots, holes, narrow places and dead ends.
- Use tactics
How are you going to win the fight? If you fight in a group you should definately have a basic strategy, like who is going to be in the frontline and who is going to stay back, who is going to heal others and who is going to attack etc etc. Maybe this is common knowledge for some people but it doesn't hurt if everyone in your team knows it. If you tell everyone to use MWs and trap the target before they attack him, you will drop him much easier. Most times a basic strateg is all you need to win a fight but sometimes you need to use more advanced strategies to win the fight.

During the fight:

- Stay calm
Probably one of the most important thing. If you get too excited you will start to make simple mistakes like shooting of a UE instead of healing or hit less SDs.
- Try to not use SDs all the time. This goes to both mages and paladins. If you keep SDing your enemy will be focused on healing and will probably heal up full HP before you have a chance to make a finishing move. Try to force him into making a mistake and finish him when he is unprepared or even exhausted. There are a few ways to do this:

1. Use bursts/bolts and gfbs. If you do very little damage to him he will be focused on other things than his HP. Usually a good strategy is to shoot one or a few GFBs and then just let the bursts/bolts do their job. If you fight against a mage you can probably one-hit him with a UE or 2 SDs if you are a paladin.
