This thread is to help people developing 7.1 OT, comparing 7.1 Tibia to 7.4 tibia

Map thread

*Creature loot changes
Dragon - Fire Sword -> Serpent Sword
Skeleton - Legion Helmet -> Viking Helmet
Rotworm - Viking Helmet -> Legion Helmet

*Creature Attacks
Global:
-No diagonal pathing
-No run away on low hp
-Always attempt to attack in melee range
-Cant cross fields if they are not immune to them
-Strong creatures didnt kill weaker creatures on the way
-No retargetting

Slime - 55 xp?
Orc Berzerker - no haste
Giant Spider - no haste
Beholder - only energy attack, can be blocked by armor, 120 xp?
Orc Shaman - only energy attack, can be blocked by armor
Dwarf Guard - 175xp
Necromancer - life drain melee, poison melee and sudden death attack
Warlock - no invisibility
Dragon Lord - 3x3 Fire Bomb

Quests
All keys used to daily spawns more or less where they are now. Although I don't have any information what spawned before in current quests, look specially for this info.

Stuff that should be attempted to bring back from older versions:
*Broadcast spell
*Lifedrain bypasses mana shield
*Push players into fields and down holes (maybe creatures too)
*Hide ladders with garbage
*Closing Thais north bridge
*Summons becoming wild

Dwarf Guard - 175xp
Slime didn't give 55 exp, but its clone did. Back then all monsters' summons would give exp (like skeletons summoned by beholder).
Dwarf guard used to give 185 exp until 7.4 when it was lowered to 170, and later (7.5 or 7.6) to 165.

  • green sparks on the attacker on life drain/paral
  • no muted on default and trade
  • couldn't sell more than 1 item at a time
  • couldn't destroy furnitures with weapon
  • no skulls/party, "keep distance" mode instead of safe mode button
  • necro summoned skeletons instead of ghouls
  • no blessings/aol, but amulet of life
  • hotkeys without "send automatically" function (had to press enter)

Quests

Also many people add ghostlands to 7.1 and that is an 7.2 update.

Im pretty sure I'm right about the slime, I remember them being placed in the monster table close to minotaurs.

Those daily respawns can be gotten from the screenshots, one I'm really curious about and I've asked a lot of people about it is what was the reward of Skjaar/Noble Armor Quest before 7.2, Skjaar could one shot you, with wrong answer too.

Also Desert Quest could be done at lvl 8 and gave steel shield, 2 handed sword, some gps and a small gem.

The right numbers are:
Slime 55xp
Beholder 100xp
Dwarf Guard 185xp

Summons:
->Slimes didn't have animation for summoning other slimes?
->Monster summons gave xp like Kay said
->If you changed floor or out of range, they would remain stopped in place without attacking, same for creature summons.

Non pvp
->Fields would last 10% of total duration
->You could attack your conviced creatures if you were attacking them before being conviced but if you stop attack, you couldn't attack them any longer.

Great initiative! It would be good if we could post any sources to back up the findings as well, to separate what we actually know from what we remember. I know that at least my own memory plays tricks on me with these things. Of course it probably won’t be possible in a lot of cases, but still.

A few things that haven’t been mentioned:
  • Green Tome was a daily spawn on the isle of mists
  • Horned helmet was the reward for bright sword quest (after map reset only)
  • Grey Tome somewhere in Mintwallin (after map reset only)
Haven’t been able to find screenshots of these spawns.

I only remember getting white pearl, some gp and poison arrows, but this is one of those hazy memories. Or maybe whatever reward was there was only after map reset and only the other items were the daily spawn?
This link mentions copper key 3142 going to the ”old ice rapier room”: Keyboard (http://www.tibia-alumni-society.net/cobalt-tower/keyboard.html)
So I guess you got an ice rapier there. But I don’t think it was daily.

Grey Tome is very close to the King in Mintwallin basically same room...

Yeah, I saw that. I remember collecting the white pearls as a newbie. Not sure about the other items, but it does ring a bell. The hazy part was mainly if there was anything else. The ice rapier makes sense, but I definitively didn't have a bunch of those laying around, so that was probably only after map reset in that case.

What about behemoth quest? Mad Made Room, Devil's Helmet Quest?
Found this screenshot that appears to be of the behemoth quest room here. It also shows how the layout has changed. 2 chests instead of 4. I guess the stuff on the ground could be the reward? Kind of disappointing in that case :p

Ah my bad did some research afterwards and turns out it did indeed spawn every map update, around every 6 months or so.

I wasn't sure about all of these things, so I wanted to find some screenshots that prove it. I found this great photobucket that has a bunch of 7.1 screenshots. One of the screenshots shows a warlock attacking at melee range and mino archers not being able to walk through a diagonal path:

  • character could not be pushed out of fire field
  • game started with 1 creature in spawn home after server save instead of full respawn
    I think they put less spawn at some point to "balance", i remember training at 5x mino that became 3x later
  • gs slow speed lvl 20
    low exp rate is necessary
  • no skulls
    It's most important, changes interaction completely.
It could be interesting to only allow travel from venore boat and hills carpet to edron and darashia and remove boats in thais, carlin and ab. But it wasn't so.

That might be the overspawn mechanic, where creatures would respawn again when moved away from their home or changed floor. You could fill up the entire bear room with minotaurs, it existed until they removed it on 7.5

Lol i used to fight against nixon ferare in lunara back in 2003 & 2004 i dont remember wich guild he was but mine was Monarch god damm what a beatiful moments!
