Those account's aren't his. He's not duping his numbers. Those accounts are mine. They are there to gain Archlight Tokens as it is the easiest way to attain them. If he wanted to dupe numbers, he'd make accounts to places you couldn't reach. Or just easily edit his server numbers.
Anyway, I'm going to post my thoughts about this server because like Shade, I was extremely hyped for it. I have nothing against the staff, even if I have been harsh in words. It is mainly out of frustration due to me thinking this would
be it. This would be the OT to kill my time. It is not.
Archlight was advertised as a Custom RPG, with custom classes, spells, monsters, items, you name it....
Except it's not. At least, not enough to in my opinion.
Classes
Let's start with the classes. The classes are real tibia classes with a few adjustments, and I really do mean a few. For example, I am a berserker. Cool! No. I'm a knight with 2 custom spells. I have a spell that hit's like an Exori from real tibia, then applies a bleed effect that does not scale whatsoever. I also have a lifesteal buff that steals a % at random of my HP pool per attack. That's it.
THAT'S LITERALLY IT
The bard class has to be the most custom of all the classes, but it is literally just the party buffs that real tibia classes have, removed from said classes and given to the bard. I believe the bard has like 2 custom buffs not from real tibia, and a wave that is also custom (for damage).
The archer has literally one spell for DPS that is custom, and it's a projectile that hits in the shape of an Explosion rune. He has a snare shot which can be useful as times, but rarely used. Oh and a haste buff that nobody uses due to the fact that it gets overridden by the other stronger Distance buff.
Just from those examples alone, it kind of shows either laziness or inability from the developers. I find it hard to believe that a Custom RPG server thinks that adding 1-2 spells constitutes a custom class.
Monsters
The monsters are all real tibia monsters, except for very few. And you can tell which ones are custom, because they're a joke in terms of design (damage, loot, experience, health, etc). For instance, the Corrupted Hydras were the best experience for awhile due to the fact that while they hit extremely hard, they also have such a small amount of HP. By the time you take one hit, it's probably dead. Then after you finish that part, you start hunting at PoI (because a Custom RPG needs PoI). After you hunt there, you're bored because nothing else is worth hunting.
Then they release a patch that added a couple of custom spawns, with custom monsters. Cool, I thought. Wrong again. These monsters have such stupid ratios for everything that it's a pain to even think about hunting these monsters. There's only one spawn that was worth doing (Enraged War Golems) and only because it has the same issue Corrupted Hydras had (little HP, ridiculous damage). None of these are worth soloing (other places give better exp/loot and are less difficult to kill), which means you're stuck hunting in groups. Which leads into the next stupid system: party hunting.
Party Hunting
For some reason, the developers believe that this server should require large groups to benefit from hunting. If you play this server by yourself, you will literally be left in the dust. There is no way a solo player can compete with a party. The larger the party, the better experience for everyone. If you have different classes in said party, you gain even more experience. This sounds great, right? You get to encourage people to party and play. The problem comes from the fact that the numbers are extremely off (I'm talking about 10x more experience from partying, which doesn't seem like much until you start killing everything immediately). Grab a bot, grab a couple of shooters, and just follow the tank around. The experience divide is so massive, that it keeps all of my team (around 12 players) from hunting for exp. There is no reason for us to even attempt to waste resources on hunting alone as the experience is so shit.
Want to see how bad it is? I leveled alone from level 1-120. I peaked at about 120 and it just was hell to grind. Someone else started the day after me, was level 80 when I went to bed. By the time I woke up (8 hours), the person was level 250. Not only that, but so was EVERYONE in that party (about 12 players).
Having party hunts is fun and rewarding and should be encouraged. It helps players bond and have fun together. The problem is that this is mandatory, not optional. Although tibia is a social game, there are a large amount of people who play solo or in small groups (4 people max). If those people are left out to rust, it's a bad design.
Last but not least, the worst thing of all
Donation Power
I get it. People want to make money to pay for server costs and the cost of development. I understand these concepts. But this is not how you do a donation page/system. In fact, it looks like more effort was made into having people donate than there was in actually making a good server. The donations are straight up the best items in the game. Nothing competes with it and hasn't. Sure, there's rumors of people saying "Oh, it's dropped in the Ramparts 2". The problem is, you'll never get to actually doing it without donor gear, as it's still hard as shit for people in full donor gear TEAMS. My buddy Flatlander, from Otland, was kind enough to donate a couple bucks to this server to help them out, because he encourages people to attempt to make custom servers. I say this because with the points he received, I was given a full Donor set by him. The Donor Set literally doubled my DPS. It gives a whopping nearly 40 skills to axe/sword/club and 20% protection to EVERYTHING. It also gives bonus regeneration effects. My class scales with Weapon ATK (or so I heard), and they basically nerfed the damage due to it being extremely strong (1 shotting people). This is mainly due to people having Axes with 100+ ATK and 40 extra skills. So now that they nerfed the class, if you don't have Donor Gear to be normal, you're even worse off.
The gear in game is barely edited, making it garbage compared to Donor and even the custom shop in-game sells gear at such ludicrous prices (200 Archlight Tokens a piece, which is about 66 hours of being online.). The other gear that is sold uses Dungeon Tokens as a currency, and is also nowhere near Donor levels.
It's not as bad as some servers in terms of raw stat differential, but it's extremely broken in the context of the server.
Other
So many things are bugged and unpolished. Tons of holes/ladders/stairs don't work. The event's have bugs (people lost tons of levels/skills from a PvP event). Stupidly designed systems are so easily to abuse (Archlight Token MCs, Skill Potion MCs, Dungeon Token MCs). There are a ton of chests that don't trigger quest storage IDs, so you can do them every server save. Pots/Spells get altered while playing, leading to multiple deaths. Rollbacks were constant. Quests are still bugged/don't work properly. Balance is awful and has no real direction in sight. The training room had multiple movable places that allowed people to push you from the trainer. The PZ zones allowed you inside if you were skulled in many places, with some remaining still to this day. Blessings didn't work for awhile, the NPC sold blessings at a higher price than the command, then AOL was added with blessings, even though nobody wanted it. The Upgrade System is very bland and only works with weapons that have ATK and DEF.
