I think the fact that this is not 'real' Tibia, or an official paid game, is why the GM can and will ban people because he thinks they bot - ie without any factual proof.

When it comes down to it, it is Kaspars' discretion. As realistic war is just a project of his he will clearly want to try and make it as successful as possible.
Banning Jason will appease the hoards of complaining players who continually die to him and his friends. Its not enjoyable to play and always be killed which I can fully understand.

Although Jason may have botted in the past (personally I was not aware of this) this is not proof that he is still doing it.
I dont see reason in arguing over how difficult it is to type and use a manafluid, since it is time consuming to try and change the opinion of an unreasonable person.


I feel sad that a nice guy like him was banned but when it comes down to it, Lamm, it isnt worth the time to try and get it reversed when there are so many good open tibia servers to play and enjoy.

To be VERY clear again, I already knew Jason was botting before, although I was not GM back then so I couldn't do anything to affect the decision. He was later unbanned, and he was for a while completely legit. Later on I started suspecting him again for botting, but very carefully since me and him were chatting frequently. Now for you whoever says that there aren't proof enough for my bans, think again. I don't always record when I see a botter, it would be too timeconsuming for me, this is not a company we're running here. We're hosting the server for YOU.
I am 100% sure that he is botting and he even admitted to doing so, so drop the arguments and stop trying to protect him.

Nevertheless, this incident does not make Jason a bad person at all.
For you who keep denying this occurance, contact me ingame and I'll re-act the whole thing. I'm sad that some people still think I am biased as a GM.

1) Change the exp gained by kill formula to depend also on characters KD ratio.

2) If someone was banned for botting I would like my deaths by him to be removed.

2a) Also if someone was teaming with a botter make his kills taken with assist of bot cleared.

3) The third and most important one. There are people on realistic who cant be simply caught botting, for example Jason was one of them. They are using most likely AutoHotkey. Since they use it its impossible to make antibot client. I realised it when I discovered the software while was farming runes on some rpg. It took me 15 minutes to create full autoheal with randomized delays, randomized click area, also it has got protection from sending packet if there was used another rune in specified time. Created it just for fun and to practice programming. Was thinking how code for aimbot should look like and I'm pretty sure the simple aim wouldnt be longer than 4 lines of code. The only way to exclude botters from community is to make auto broadcasting with real-time mouserecord of everyone online. Thats the only, and probably not that hard way since mouse rec. file weight low it should be easily streamed.

1) Is there something wrong with the current experience gain? I think not. Changing it to depend on K/D ratio will only make it easier to abuse it. It's almost already dependable on K/D ratio since a player with good K/D ratio will be higher level.

2), 2a) This isn't CS:GO, c'mon. We're like 10-30 players here and it's a lot of work to do. Although I can see 2) to be possible, but how do we measure if someone was intentionally teaming with a botter or not? I will most likely implement a new rule that will prevent people from teaming up with botters.

3) Jason was caught botting multiple times. He's not using AutoHotkey, he's using ClassicBotter. It's not an issue to detect botters actually. How do you think an auto-broadcasting of everyone online would work? Not everyone can use a recorder without lagging, and many people certainly can't stream it live either. Making a multi-broadcast like that is extremely unlikely to happen. How about you just ask the one you're suspecting of botting to record himself whilst you duel or whatever? You can also report a player you suspect of botting on the forum and I'll look it up.

Thank you for your suggestions, I appreciate seeing people taking the initiative to write what they think could help the server.

Ain't gonna work due to many technical reasons.
The mouse recorder within Cam player (it's actually old Karelazi's Tibianic Tools) works like shit by the way.
99.9% of botters use commonly available bots only (on any server). It would be enough to have a highly customized OTClient to get rid of them, atleast until someone releases a new bot, which is unlikely to happen soon on a war server (no real profit of doing it), and even having sources you can easily update the client.
