300 people on rookgard with this insanely low rate is torture. Should have done something to make rook simpler cause I'm sure alot of people will give up on this grind and quit - including me.
 
I believe that is the opposite of what Dura is striving for.
The rate is fine, but it's not fine when theres 300 people fighting for the basic spawns avaliable on the island. There is nowhere to go where there are less than 5 people fighting for a single monster
 
these random traps are extremely annoying, there is no indicator that you're about to walk in one... you're just walking through a cave then suddenly fall down to some hard monsters and you're dead... its like playing with a random chance to die at any moment... funny idea but not for me, i hate dying due to random stuff like that

good server, monsters are a bit different, there is something around every corner and its active.
so far a breath of fresh hair, hope u will keep cheaters on watch

I've played for 5to 6h straight and like I said, nothing special besides random mobs with superpowers.

If you like to waste time in rookgaard, get angry and be low level, the server is for you.
I personally do not see this server going too far, people will start getting mad of grinding on shitty mobs for the rest of their lives, not everyone plays with friends and this server is MADE for you to play in a party and have friends, you wont do much alone.

My predictions is that maybe in a couple weeks or even a month the playerbase will drop significantly (remembering that the server paid streamers for publicity, these players from the streamers wont be here for too long)

I agree with a lot of what you've said Arcar. The biggest problem was we didn't anticipate how people would block the respawn of the monsters themselves by to many people circulating through the spawns. Admittedly this was short-sighted on our part and I wish we could take it back. We surely lost players due to this, and I'm sorry we lost you as well.


Luckily though this seemed to be the only real drawback to launch. We survived all DDOS attacks. All our systems functioned properly. And there was only 1 bug, that we've already patched (studded legs quest). And people do seem to like our game.

Hopefully people come back and give us another chance who already left, as well we attract more people. We're here to stay, so I hope players stay as well. We're always going to work to modify what is wrong or broken in our game.

I think the fact that you had to spend so much time in rookgaard (which I admit was our fault) hurt our ability to really demonstrate the differences in Dura. If you play a little farther along you will see how much there really is packed in here. It's more than just harder monsters, you've barely scraped the surface with raids, you haven't experienced ancient runes, our ambush system, our world shift system, and on and on. Time will show that I believe.

You are right though, teamplay is definitely highly advantageous here but I assure you after you get the hang of it you can solo. Out testers proved that with somewhat relative ease actually to my tremendous surprise (and a little bit upset; but hey this means solo is possible).

If you have problems about rookgard why dont copy paste rookg? And add a system boat that you can travel from rookg A to Rookg B, with 24h delay for travel again?

Same world, twin island and fucking 2x spots for ppl.
 
Well, the GM convinced me to play again, so I left rookgaard and... IT'S EVEN WORSE in mainland, KEKW.

All newbie respawns are HELL.

Imagine you with a Chain armor, no legs, Plate shield and a Viking Helmet going Troll Cave in carlin and facing a Valkyrie or maybe you going Goblins and going down a hole you find not just Rotworms, but a fucking Cyclops using a wave that will probably hit kill you, LOL.

I'll maintein what I said earlier, this wont last a month. Not even Ghandi have the patient to play this, it's just insane!
I would say that u need to be insane to keep grinding on it.

If youre a lone wolf, this server will make you cry.

tbh its not even hard just force u to skill/runemake a lot at start as every 8-10lvl spawn is filled with monsters like cyclops/mino mages/mino guards/wild warriors/valkyries/beholders/witches which stops u from hunting there (doesnt matter if its super power elite monster or not) like you are 8lvl wanting to hunt/skill on trolls so u enter cave kill two trolls then walk 20 sqm and face scorpion + wild warrior +elf scout killing u within first 4 seconds and these mobs doesnt need to be elite to block u from hunting there

Imo Dura has done a very good job to inform players, at least on this forum, on how the server works. They also had beta for a few months where everyone could test it and give feedback.

I thought the launch was so cool with so many players on a small island, it felt like Classic Wow launch. So alive. It was great!

Also one thing they have done to aid beginners in rook is hiding small right-click quests that gives you exp. There is enough to get you to level 5 without the need to kill anything! specially if there is so many players clearing the caves.

I got level 4 without drawing any blood. Later people found out that katana quest gives 1500 exp, which is alooot at this level.

Good job on successful launch!

its because 99% of those people are from poland ready to kneel on all fours with their buttcheeks spread out for 100 euros, trying to get level 30 so that they can survive till next month
 
You guys need to put a list of custom spells / items on website somewhere asap,
The wiki / information on website is completely empty with 0 information, u had time to add shit on there and didnt add any basics ?
 
I dont play tibia for years but i think the difficult of the game needs to be progressive i mean, if you dont have any chance to face monsters can be a problem.

Is not funny hunt trolls and die by hunter that u dont have chance for run and nothing, but if u find elite troll can be funny face monsters that can (idk bc i dont play) paralyze you, has poison attacks and u probably dont have yet exana pox or maybe he has lifedrain that cost a lot kills that simple troll and try survive with 12 HP and still being hard

Again im not playing, but i feel more funny that moments that can kill u if you fail 1 second and forces you to play like a pro, than simple appear something that u 100% cant face at the moment.
At least for low lvl spots.

when you hunt around lvl 14-18 maybe you can start adding orc berserker on a spots waiting for a surprise, that again forces you for use heal potion and be fast for rope you and take Diazepam like solid snake haha
 
I just think you added a few trolls south of venore and u think is enough, every exp place has a hard monster, you should add a few more bullshit trolls and bugs on surface somewhere so people can atleast collect few gps not fighting for 1 bug spawn in venore

Still once you train up a little bit, find a friend who has fire fields or spears you can make it through. Use flowers/parcels in caves. Rope eachother when checking new spots. Its hard but its something different and pretty fun actually xd really makes you think to overcome obstacles at start


Also the food system should be changed, I never seem to get full and it dissappears in a few minutes having to leave and fish every 10-15mins
