How do i select? need to select a place in a map that i like and put in another map, help me...

Hold down either Shift or Ctrl and drag over the spot you want.

But when i do that, i select over the shit i wanna copy it delet's insted

In the bottom right-hand corner of the map you'll see a little button that either looks like a square or a pencil, make sure it looks like a pencil then you can Shift+Drag to select. After you select it press Ctrl+C and it'll copy it, Ctrl+V to paste it, then move your mouse around and click where you want to set it at. I just tested it and it works.
