back to otland after some time, playing few servers - tried this one, here are some of my thoughts:
i really like this custom features like skinning, monsters don't drop gold (only humanoids) so u have to skin them to profit. cool idea. making it a premium feature to auto-skin is a bit too much. u can't even put on hotkey skinning knife u have to aim from backpack if u don't have premium... i don't know how people can play without premium? is it fun to skin from bp?
ok so finally left rook, paladin gogo main. time to shoot some arrows. oops no bow. no bow in shop you need to craft and skill 12 in crafting... what? why? now i need to lvl up crafting before i can craft basic bow...
fuck it, time to buy some eq.
no market so only trade. ofc in trade 3 people selling the same shit. people selling only items with good rolls for a lot of money, its hard to buy white items as low lvl just to progress
u can't switch items in eq! wtf? have to take off item and put on a new one. is it a feature? lol
lvling spells... such a weird feature... for example a spell conjure arrow:
Level 0: Cost 25 mana. Conjures 10 simple arrows. Casts to Level up: 100.
Level 1: Cost 40 mana. Conjures 10 arrows. Casts to Level up: 271.
Level 2: Cost 50 mana. Conjures 10 sniper arrows. Casts to Level up: 738.
Level 3: Cost 80 mana. Conjures 10 tarsal arrows. Casts to Level up: 2008.
Level 4: Cost 140 mana. Conjures 10 onyx arrows. Casts to Level up: 5459.
Level 5: Cost 230 mana. Conjures 10 crystalline arrows. Maximum level.
So im lvling automaticly after x amount of uses, mana go up, cant use previous lvl... just, why? who thought it would be good idea to change spell cost the more u use it xD and yes, i understand the spells are also stronger but this concept of spells growing automaticly being more expensive to use is bizzare. would be great if i could choose what lvl spell i want to use
list could go on but just this premium feature seems predatory to me.
i do not recommend.
