Yes, you can install only the MySQL server, just download the latest community version here.

Translation MYsql is a database and can also incorporate your acc page!
Apache is just a website based program! ie: hosts your account page info!
I suggest just downloading the one above me posted!

Just by running apache\MySQL server you start it normally, but when you install it as a service it will start it every time you start windows.
