Oh my god... Well I don't got time to make a big discussion here, but I only thinks it's really bad style, and no you didn't do it for the community, you did it to make your green reputation belt bigger.

The worse thing is that you really BEG for reputation, and you don't even mention that the map is made by Barker... You didn't even made some own screenshots from the map, you took mine. I don't really care... but still... It made me laugh lol.

If you posted it to serve the community, then why can't you even give credits to Barker? Exactly, you want everyone to think it's your map so that you can get as much reputation as possible.

It doesn't matter how much reputation you gain by this, you will never ever act up to it anyways.

And before you ask, why did I just write about the reputation? Well, because that's what this thread is all about.

Edit: Sorry I didn't see the text "Credits to Barker for his tracking job, credits for me because I am an rox releaser" because it was too small, lol. But anyways. You didn't included that at first, but you did add it in a tiny format so you wouldn't get flamed anymore... pathetic

Barkers* map, not franks. Frank has nothing to do with rl maps, all he does is using his custom shit projects.

The credits has been there since I started the thread. You're just crying because you won't have the most "completed" map anymore.

Okay so, Barker didn't want to release something he put alot of time on that wasn't even done. He might have released it eventually anyways when it was done. Not saying that he would, just that he might.

And so, the project of Barker got released by frankfarmer.
And now people blame Barker for being selfish?! Look at frankfarmer, he released it for freaking REP, without even doing ANYTHING but writing a release thread!

Now, now.. Who's the selfish one?

How about granting access to all of ur computer files frankfarmer, since here we share!





Heres the balance cycle of the entire ot community.

An awesome distro releases so people can build OTS their own way (Thank you elf)
People take their imagination and interest to work on a project of their own choice.
Some people do great work, and manage to top the otservlist - These are the GOOD developers.
Then we have the other people, who remain at under 100 people at all times - These are the OTHER people, whom ots gets released pretty fast.

Now, the people who are topping otservlist, THEIR WORK AINT RELEASED!
And that's good, otherwise we would have TONS of these ots not knowing which one of them are the good ones with active updating and good managing.

Just imagine if every OT was released, it would cause chaos, and not what Feloth(or whatever his name is spelled) said, "a good community"..


So heres the point.

Released projects is for people who can't build their own OT out of the TFS scratch, and they usually dont get far.

Non released projects (Like my own) attracts more people because they believe we do good work, since we've been working on it since scratch.
