Leveling System

Hunting

Good ole hunting has been an archaic form of leveling within MMOs and OTs. with the desire of wanting to still incorporate some old school elements, hunting will continue to be a vital part within Cypher.

NPC Interaction

As one of the new systems introduced my Cypher, NPC Interaction will be a vital part of leveling. All over the world you will find other beings (NPCs) in which you can conversate with and even link them to other npcs. Yes, hidden back stories will be revealed, providing a whole new dimension to exploring, as well a whole new direction to leveling. The one keyword that will be available on every npc to gain EXP with interaction will be "story". However, as you delve deeper into their stories and their lives, you should realize many other possible keywords which will undoubtedly unlock more of their story, as well give a much more valuable exp output.

Exploring

As a way to motivate exploring, discovering many places and sometimes even undiscovered land, as well as towns will also wield experience for your character. No longer will you visit a new town just for interacting with new beings and no longer will you explore JUST to find monsters, there will now be motivation in the form of experience to truly explore the world.

Prophecies

As a bonus for exploring, many lands and areas within these lands will include graveyards, librarys, sanctuaries, and temples. All over the world there will lie random dwelling places in which will host prophecies in which that can be read and unlocks a larger part of a hidden story.

Treasure Hunting

Ever wanted to be the only person in an entire server to have your grasp on a beloved item? Many opportunities will arise upon Cypher which will allow you to do so. Hold the secrets to a beloved item all your own, or trade it in for massive riches and experiences, the choice is all yours. This system will be a huge and significant part of leveling later on within your adventures.

Origins

None Origin
: None origins are the only beings capable of becoming any of the secret origins through certain, hidden quest lines.

Melee Origins
Mudperson: Uses Spears/Lances
+15 Axe Fighting

Scavenger: Uses Bows
+15 Distance Fighting

Baneling Reincarnate: Uses Clubs
+15 Club Fighting

Dragon Corps Remnant: Uses Swords
+15 Sword Fighting

Untouched: Uses Shields
+15 Defense Fighting
90% Deflect Magic
Invincible to Paralyzation


Magic Origins
Prophet: Uses Additive Magic
Only able to cast Healing and Enhancement Magic
Knowledge of Archaic Languages
Able to read prophecies

Evoker: Uses Subtractive Magic
Only able to cast damage and DoT Spells
Able to use their han to transform additive potions into subtractive potions
When in dire danger (10% hp or lower), a pet is summoned to their aide by the keeper.

Orden: Uses both Additive and Subtractive Magic
Able to cast all elements of magic. Specializes in cluster-style magic.
Follows a special heirachy known as The Order


Secret Origins
Slide: Creates Souls (Harvesting the Soul of a dead being into a special bottle)
Uses souls to control others
Paralyzes their enemy
Creates fields and areas of illusion to desimate their enemy

Confessor: Enslaves other beings to their control
Releases their han in able to control any being
After usage of their power, they are completely drained and takes Days (in-game hours) to rejenerate their abilities.

Skills/Spells

Tiered Skills
Tiered skills will be a system in which all skills that are learned will be able to upgrade through time by doing quests that you automatically recieve upon certain skill levels. These quests will be pain stakingly hard to deal with, and will revolve around you doing major tasks, enough to unlock your ability to push your limits to lengths like never before.

Tiered Spells
Tiered spells work in the same manner as tiered skills, except they are received automatically when a magical being reaches certain milestone magic levels. Contract to skilll tiers, magic tiers will often include tests of knowledge, traveling to various cities and towns all over the world in order to gain enough knowledge to tap into untapped ability within.


Training System

Skill Training
Skill training will remain similar to as it is currently to tibia, in a sense. Although the rate will be raised, new adversities will arise within training. For example, Cypher will NOT cater to the automatic training system known as training monks. Instead, you will take up training with various training npcs across the world. Each trainer will only offer you a one time opportunity to train with them, and depending on how you fair against the trainer, you will be awarded a good amount of skill afterward each session. Outside of the npc training session, there is, of course, the option to train with other players all over the world.

Magic Training
As with Skill Training, Magic training will as well reserve some of it's roots that made it a unique feature within Tibia. However, just as with the skills training system, there will be new avenues open to excelling a person's magic level. First off, unlike the origins that tie into melee fighting (Axe, Club, Sword, Distance, and Shielding), none of the 3 Magic Origins will begin with knowledge of magic. Instead, players will have to explore for themselves, learn skills on their own, and master spells all their own. Training/casting spells, just like in Tibia, will contribute towards your magic level training, which not only makes you stronger, but as you may have read, brings you closer to receiving a quest that will help you tap into new power.

Not to sound flamish or anything, but.. When will you actually finish an OT before making teasers about 5 diffrent servers?
 
This is the same Angelic Fury OT, but re-inspired and a new more server-themed name.
 
Glad you liked the teasers. Feedback and ideas would be greatly appreciated.
 
1-2 months to do all the programming, since we've already designed the systems for the most part, many other blueprints need to be made however. Please guys, let me know if you like, love, or hate the ideas presented.
