Introduction
For about 6 months have I been planning this project, or actually I am merging all my servers/ideas from all these years into one complete server. It might happen it might not, atleast I shared my thoughts with you all and someone else might use them. Let's keep it at a decent level now and criticize as much as you can, I might have been fuzzy at some point but that's when you join in and point it out!! Posters with "good project" "nice looking forward to it" "lol u sux" will be ignored/deleted and thrown to the ultraspace of doom and I wish i could delete your posts, be informative.

Goal
My goal is to keep the tibia as we know it, since I've never been a fan of "OMG LOOK AWESOME SPELL OF DOOM which kills everything within a 30y radius!", medieval horse-riding or lasersword of apocalypse (etc). Anyhow I want to bring a small change to the tibian gameplay, and let people enjoy it as they like. Also the 100% accessibility to sources/data packs etc so you can click and run an exact replica of this project (I thought this was mandatory for all servers?)!

Lore
Lore is something important! Will be written and introduced in some way during your first hours online! With this I've thought of a way to progress thru this.

Gameplay
I have been focusing on the end-game part, what happens when you are the highest level? When you can kill everything solo-style? You have 200000 bps of crystal coins which you can't even use cause you have done every quest, have every item.. ETC!

LEVELING
We advance in specific zones for each level we take, it won't be that fast-paced and you will continue gaining experience up to level WIP and at that point you can no longer gain experience. There should also be no reason to revisit most of the areas (WOOT?).

QUESTING
Will be done throughout the game and with this you will recieve treasures and gold, most of the time you even recieve experience. There are repeatable quests and storyline quests and sub-quests(not related to the story, nor repeatable). You will encounter all types, killing, gathering, escort/protect and "Talk-to-my-brother-in-x-zone"-quests. You are now deciding your own fate and future! The choices you are given in a quest will make an impact on your coming progress (Must find a way to not spam too many storage id's for these?)

EXPLORING
When you advance through the zones you will realize that for each zone and sub-zone you explore (enter) you will recieve a character point and a small amount of experience!

CHARACTER POINTS
Achieved from doing special missions, obtaining certain equipment and from being successful in the trading market. These are basically stored with your character and will measure your e-peen, and might work as a "currency" which you do not spend but the more e-peen = the more stuff can you do. For example use certain teleports.

TRADING
This part is VERY risky, instead of havign individual professions you can as a guild obtain monopoly on certain tradegoods. Could either be blacksmithing/tailoring/baking etc.. You can all find raw products for all these professions BUT only the certain guild who bought the local blacksmith/tailorshop/bakery may use these to craft weapons or food. For a guild to maintain their shop they must recieve an income that's only possible from player-to-player trading, else they'll loose their business. As I said this is a VERY risky part of the game since I will probably haave an average of 10 players online so therefor will NPCs contribute with this but it will be quite a gamble, you spend a fortune and might not even get a successful craft. Don't forget to add all your precious findings to the auction house (which is useable from the web). Another way to "force" players to interact with the community is that you may get extra funds from the game if you are for example using your bakery for an outside player. This helps keeping your rent paid.

PVP
Well this is still not written in blood (neither is anything else) but I might consider to dump world pvp and only use the old duel system and combine this with battlegrounds(guild war areas)/arenas (fight either npc teams or other players). By doing this you will also recieve certain character poitns but most important you will recieve soul tokens!

ECONOMY AND GEAR
Let's merge these 2 parts. You will recieve both gold and soul tokens on your journey and with these(especially soul tokens) you can buy both gear and supplies that you might need to progress. As I might have stated, the economy will be quite dependant on a large community but you can always grow your wealth on different conditions. Your character will be VERY gear-dependable because if you wouldn't care to customize your equipment you're boring and can quit right ahead. There will of course be a cap on tokens so you can't stock up for 10mil sets. Certain gear accessible from soul tokens will be released in periods with minor upgrades, so therefore you will always have to maintain your equipment set. Every set will be upgradeable from smithing etc but there aswell, there will be a cap. Behind this it is of course blacksmiths who works 24/7 to develop new defensive/offensive equipment!

Gathering! You will be of course be able to gather materials from living/dead creatures around the world BUT the lore says some crystal fragments has been left around in the world and magicians managed to find a way to use 'em. Crystals gathered will be of different levels and used to craft power-ups, too boost your characters abilities or stats for a "short" period of time. Other areas of use might be researched, time will tell!

SPELLS AND TALENTS(WIP)
Every class have their own set of spells, thou the trick here is that you cannot learn them all at once. You have a limited amount to choose in certain categories and with that there was also going to be a way to recieve an amount of 10 talent points in order to customize your characters abilities, but this will be put on a huge hold since it's been wroked around.

CLASSES
Fact is I lied before, there won't be any classes! You customize your character and with that you create your own class! Everyone can use every weapon, it can either be situational or due to improved skills you choose to be either a cloth user, plate wearer. Do you prefer swinging an axe or throwing firebolts? It's all your choice, if you don't like it just change for .. a cost that will sting.

Guild system
You can create a guild but then you have a minimum of 5 individuals and with this you have a common guildbank where you store all your gold which will be needed to fund supplies for your members. You cant add personal gold and you can never withdraw. There are other ways to earn gold as a guild, you can focus on being merchants and deal with goods, craft items and distribute it to other players in exchange of gold. The rent and taxes will be charged directly from the guild account. Larger guilds can also compete on battlegrounds where you grind soul tokens and if you end victorious a certain gold reward will be added to your guilds account. If a guild disbands every member will recieve their share. There will also be guild points, which you achieve from certain guild activities (Killing a boss, winning a battle, having successful trades etc.. Being in a guild does indeed count to your personal character points.

Transportation system
Deerp Deeerp, We will teleport short distance with the help of the advice above, or between areas to be more precise. There's also a rumor that it might exist a hearthstone, but it is too early to consider if it's worth having or not. My first thoughts was that once you discover the device, you will be able to teleport to it from anywhere, unless there is something jamming the teleportation link, this is also asomething I am very unsure about, since I do not want it to become a TP game.

What about the endgame then?
You will focus on improving your gear, your wealth and increase your e-peen points, and hopefully the most difficult goal of mine, to enjoy the community!

Why bother with a name like Epeenia, Deathnarnia, Morgarothian etc?

I have other things to care about than coming up with a name! Or well my opinion says that the name should reflect the project and I can't really figure one.. Let's vote when im done!

My project is also untitled, it's so hard finding a real decent name
 
Will add a few notes i've come across;
Quests - Will be given from NPCs(you will never find a chest "yay spike sword") and rewards will be experience, outfits, and possibly items(gold included) completing certain chains will reward character points.

once I added this I found it hilarious on the "1 points" part.. cba to care :( but about the (completed) part the endvalue will be the amount of cahracter poitns you can obtain so once i add more points to be achieved, it will no longer be listed as completed

To embed a story and chain each quest to each other is my goal, so you will always know where to go if you read the quest log! It will be a very user-friendly environment as I have always thought the retail edition is too much of a mystery and a wiki is always used to progress anywhere!

I have been trying to build everything from scratch, but find it hard to loop around things correctly but with time... with time i'll beat the system! I'm in no rush even if it's tempting to just stare at a finished product.

I am also considering bringing in someone to consult with, so if you feel an urge to contribute feel free to speak up and we'll have our private discussions!: )
