Well i agree with you about that, but i like some of there ideas ^^@Printer
My suggestion for you is small things, like rare candy which can be ussed for fill pokemon happiness, some points in map with special npcs which can be appear from random chance with special missions ( like a biologist in water island studying water pokemons and he need a fast specimen of water pokemons ), special quests which give a unique pokemon ( it's a pokemon which can't be dropped ) for newbie players, more PVE in gameworld ( why not make a random rocket team attack, random passive pokemons attack )
Small things like this can be a big thing in gameplay ;p
PS: I'm giving these suggestions because i like your work and it's good if you keep your own content instead of copying pxg features, it's a tip.
