Video editing software?

Does anyone know about a good video editing program?
I just need something that let's me remove parts from videos and put videos together in one video...

Something simple and preferably free.

You can put videos together, but you can't cut parts of the video as far as I know.... I don't have it in this computer =\

Sony Video Vegas is the best one out there imo but its not free.. Tho, There are ways to get it
