With this update, we have brought the "Like tree" feature. You can like posts by clicking on the "Like" link at the bottom right of a post. When a thread has at least one liked post a Like tree will appear at the top, below the page navigation in the thread, where you can see the most liked posts. The maintenace for a few minutes today was done because of upgrading to vBulletin 3.7 Beta.

Please report all bugs you find in this threads here and we'll fix the bugs caused by us and the other bugs will be forwarded to vBulletins developers, please also include which template you're using if you're going to post about a bug you found.

Dear Otlanders!

Today I wanted to formally announce changes that were gradually implemented over the past two weeks.

Attachments & Downloads
First and most important, we have enabled attachments and raised the limit of a single attachment to 50 MB.

Why and how was it possible?
Over the past few years I have noticed that many links are dying. We have created The Graveyard and we were force to move content with dead links that couldn't be recovered there. A lot of downloads were...

 

We got some issues with the server we have been using during the hardware upgrade and until it will be working again we are using Cato's server to host OtLand.

Cato has also been temporarly promoted to an administrator during this time. We're sorry for the downtime and OtLand will be moved back to the old server again as soon as it is working again.

Welcome!

7 days ago, almost 30 participators had signed in for the mapping contest where we celebrating the second year anniversary of Otland!
They could choice any theme which then their map would be choosed by the public. Eventhough 10 of them did not sent their entry before the arranged deadline and therefore were disqualified.
Despite that, the remaining 20 contestants where put into 4 groups (A, B, C and D) and when that was done the poll was created and the voting was open...​

 

Although most of you would have expected this to be the update to vBulletin 4, we are not quite there yet. We are still working on it, but we can not really estimate when it will be ready. However, we have been working on another smaller update which was just applied.

This update includes bug fixes, changes to the downloads board and changes to our staff. All the previous board moderators were promoted to global moderators, while two of our global moderators have resigned due to lack of...

It has been a while since I last posted an announcement, that is because I've been busy with many other things. It's time to focus on keeping OtLand up to date again.

Today we updated all our outdated plugins such as vBSEO, and we also purchased the vBulletin Blog plugin. You can use it as a personal blog, or group blog together with other members if you're developing a project and want to post teasers etc. Blogs can be found here: http://otland.net/blogs/. It's been a while since we were last looking for new moderators. We currently have 11 members of our Staff (Moderators and Administrators) and over 60% still visit the forum every single day! For the curious, the last time we were looking for new staff members was in 2011.

While some users may think that moderators are inactive, that is very far from the truth. We handle almost all reports within 24 hours (some escalated reports sometimes need 2-3 days), with most reports handled...

 

I've noticed that some members aren't using a 'decent language' in their posts & reports.
I want to remember everyone that this bad behaviour breaks the rules and it can be punished with a ban. (Don't ask me why the rules have been removed from the top)

By making this thread my intention is to ask all members to follow the rules of this forum.

After having the application board open for over a month it's time to accept some new board moderators to help us keep OtLand clean from spam.

We have finally purchased the vBulletin Project Tools, it will make it alot easier to handle bug reports, feature requests and tasks in projects.

We have placed subforums which redirects to the Project Tools for the OpenTibia project and for The Forgotten Server project.

OpenTibia developers can either reply in this thread or send me a private message if they're interested in having access to handle reports and feature requests there.

After some days of Staff Discussion about a new forum structure, and other changes, we finally patched the changes that we've been planning.

We hope that those changes doesn't cause too much confusion and that you still can find the right board for things, unregistered users will now be able to view the forum without a membership but can not download attachments which registered users will be able to.
