Yes, I'm the stupid one because I keep my promises unlike CipSoft does.
Everyone who cheats hate me, and that's a fact, I didn't let any cheater walk free in EliteOTs..

And it's sad I have to make plenty of enemies just because I wanted a fair game.. so indeed I'm stupid, that I really did delete cheaters.

cheaters = innocent players who got deleted for random reasons, because there's no such thing as a software controlling the client while you're not at home.

Wasn't one of your promises to keep your server open without reset until next year. I hear many rumours that you resetted it already, I'm glad I left that shit behind. Me and my team will play Warloria until Original is opening. Any news? Experience rate? Other info?
 
We're still short on money. But the rates will probably be starting from 10 and end at 2-3x

Great to see originaltibia re-opening, the server where i have had the most fun!

Exp stages may be like

1-20 10x
20-40 9 x
40-60 8 x
60-70 7 x
70-80 6x
80-90 5x
90-100 4x
100-> 3x

I personally like small changes in the exp system, so not everybody will stay at a certain level.

Or no stages at all, 5x all the way.

Loot 1 x, maybe 1.5, it should be fun to hunt for loot! Real oldschool.

Hp/mana I don't really know. But making runes was a big part of 7.4.

This is just my thaughts. Ive never hosted any OTs before, ive just been playing tibia for too long.

hp/mana regen without promo 5/10 on 3 seconds and with promotion 5/10 on 2 seconds
loot 2x

Experience:
1-30 = 10x
31-50 = 7x
51-70 = 5x
71-90 = 3x
91+ = 2x
 
Batiizado: That's too fast regenation as we already had it on the previous version and it didn't work out so good.

Experience is "too" high as people aren't supposed to become over 50 easily on 7.4.
 
Sorry fribs, but Im not sure if you should start another lowrate. Try a midrate or something - especially since you (again) already beg for money and the last originaltibia got shut down and then no explanation was given = not much confidence from my side.
 
I can understand that, but calling me a beggar because I can't afford paying the first month of the dedicated is just too much. Players ask me to host the server and I tell them I not have the required money, they tell me to open a discussion thread and they are sure people will be donating, anyone done that yet? Nope.

And the real reason why the last version got closed is due to problems with PayPal, they locked my account and therefore I do not have any money to host it right now nor to continue hosting it then either. I hosted the war server a month after the server got shut down but after that I got a debt from the dedicated host company complaining about that they did not receive any money. But I managed to pay that debt due to a kind player.

At first the server will be opened as a test server, then we will consider if we will start off as a medium/high or just go with the "lowrate" again.

I won't make any promises like several other people do: "Garantued uptime for atleast a year."

For a simple reason, anything can happen which can do that I have to close the down the server, but if everything runs smoothly and I do not have problems with PayPal and such, I do not see any reason in reseting/closing it down. Therefore I'd like to host a server that lasts a little longer than a month.
 
Sounds good, I personally prefer like 10->4 times the exp from lvl 8->100.

Or no stages at all, just 5 times exp all the way.
 
What do you think of this?

Mana/HP regenation:

5 / 3 = Unpromoted

5 / 2 = Promoted.


Experience stage:

1-8 = 10x
9-15 = 9x
16-25 = 8x
26-35 = 7x
36-45 = 6x
46-53 = 5x
54-58 = 4x
59+ = 3x


Then it will not be a major drop of experience stages between levels, like from 10x experience to 7 because of a death.. Give me feedback.

The good Oldera servers stayed open for a month and was usually closed when people got tired of corruption and op donations. And oldera wasn't even a serious highrate, with complete scripts for quest etc. I think it would work. Experience stages need to be good though. Common sense says it must be rather exponential than linear to create a nice curved ending where people will slowly stop exping. It also says the end of the curve can't be completely flat, last stage cannot be too low like 1x because if people cannot possibly exp higher they will get bored, random pk everyone or just quit. Loot rate can't be too high but items still need to be valuable. Best solution to that is to have 1x loot rate for rares and higher for gp and semirares like lootbag items, broad swords, serpent swords etc. People don't get too poor and also won't get rich too easy. Blessings should definely exist, maybe a bit cheaper like 5k each and 25k for aol. Maybe even have the aol as a blessing like new tibia to promote use of other amulets (garlic for vamps, strange for energy, bronze for mana drain etc).

It seems like, oldschool severs (Protocol 7.4-7.72) have a low amount of users and we have a big amount of servers... it's hard to make it perfect to attract players, might be wrong though

But good servers attract players from other servers too, not just people who don't play anything at the moment. You need to start it at the right moment though. Valhalla started after Tibianic and despite being a better server it had like max 50 players online while Tibianic had 250. So if I were you, Fribben, I would wait for a good moment to start my server. It would be good if you checked other popular servers to see if they get ddos, crash, loose many players etc.
 
Right now would be a good moment, I know many ppl waiting for this server. There are no 7.4 server with players except tibianic, and some ppl cant stand 2x exp with 50 ppl online.
