Hello!

I've downloaded 2.0.6, I know the CTRL+R code is gone
and you can replace it with the talkaction code. But I
really want to discuss this, cause I really liked the CTRL+R system :D

I started about 1-2 years ago with OT and I was searching
for just that kind of function TFS had, I found it very useful
and easy to use. I'm no coder so I wont complain, did this code
destroy so much quality of the server so it was necessary to take it
away?

As far as I know this is a very appreciated and popular function
will this system be recoded and return in the future?

Whats your opinion about this and what do you think about this
"rule violation"-system?

Well, I'm not able to see how you can replace that function with a talkaction and make it work the same way, so I am asking the same question too.

I like the CTRL + R function :p It's a very flexible way to report a rule violation.

I know this very well :), though I cant compile (I've tried alot of times with a result of about 260 errors) and thats why I like/liked TFS alot cause it had this function and I never succeed to compile the 0.2.6 soruce so theres some difficulties.

The only reason I started this thread is to see what opinions other than me
and my staff have and cause I know this function is appreciated by many
server administrators.

I've never tried the talkaction script but i've heard
many different comments about this script, some good and some bad.
I bet it's not a bad script but I prefer the CTRL+R system and will always do.

Well I shall give it a try, but as Jonern said I cant eather see how a talkaction script can replace CTRL+R and work the same way. Dont misunderstand me, I like all the TFS releases though I cant really understand why this system where taken away. :)

Let me see some more discussions about this :D.

I tried activating it and got errors..
(I can compile the sources fine just not if I activate rule reporting.)

Uhm... I tried now again and there was 297 errors,
so theres nothing to do except wait and see if this
function will be reimplented someday. I'll use 0.1.9
until then :p
