Beta Testing Begins 11 hours from now!
Hello, we are currently beta testing for 2 days and then will be releasing server! Beta accounts will be wiped from the database but beta testers will receive an exclusive in-game item when the server begins! Message me on msn ([email protected]) for a beta testing slot!

Introduction:
Forsaken Grounds Online has been in the making for half a year now. And it is almost complete! We are just finishing some mapping touch-ups and It will be online!

Storyline:
Forsaken Grounds is a zone that was locked down by the King of Thais due to a plague that hit the Island. The castle of Sparklight was hit by a plague that affected the citizens, first making them become violent, then soon after suffer from boils over there body and slowly loose control of there mind. To stop the spread of the plague the King cut off all boat access to this island and excommunicated it completely. Only a small group of survivors live in this town keeping off the ground floor living in caves and high places, Only going to the ground for essentials.

Rank Points:
Leveling and Gear is not the only way to become more powerful on Forsaken Grounds Online, Completing assignments for NPCs and Killing certain bosses awards you with Blood stones which can be turned into various NPCs for Experience, Gear or... Rank Points, Rank points are used to upgrade yourself to a higher rank which is shown along with your vocation for all to see.

Gear Vs Levels:
On Forsaken Grounds levels arn't much, They of course increase your max health and mana but your gear is what shows your power. On forsaken Grounds almost every armor and weapon gives you class bonus's such as increasing damage with certain elements, certain weapons, or giving you damage reductions excellent for truely customizing your character.

Tier System
On Forsaken Grounds you start with a standard set of gear depending on your starting class. This gear can be easily upgraded from tier 1 to tier 2 with 1 simple fire shard per piece of gear, however this tier 2 gear will not be upgraded to tier 3 as easily, this will require 5 fire shards and 1 water shard which are only obtainable from first boss. Bosses will be a must-hunt for upgrading any higher tier equipment, there are 7 tiers of each armor and weapon piece for each class. Tier 7 are almost unobtainable but always something to reach for! Only the very experienced players will have this tier. Bosses will require minimum 3 people to take down! Form groups at the central located depot (also temple) creating a good enviroment to form quick parties, dont forget to take along a voodoomaster for party buffs. Tier gear can all be upgraded at the forgery west in the underground society left of the depot/temple. All tier requirements for upgrades are posted in the forgery on the wall (making it easy to read the requirements and exactly what monsters drop them).

Gathering:
Gather anything from valuable shards to logs, use them to create weapons, potions and armors or save them and sell them on the market. Find yourself a loggers hatchet or a pick from the local shopkeepers and level your Skinning, Mining or Woodcutting skill on basic trees/rocks in Forsaken Grounds!

Shards:
Shards are an item dropped by any creature on Forsaken Grounds, there are 4 shards, fire shards, water shards, earth shards and light shards. These are listed in order of rarity. Fire shards are dropped by just about everything on Forsaken Grounds with a 20% drop chance, collect stacks of these to sell to other players or use to forge into 1 water shard. Water shards and higher are all only obtainable from Tier Bosses which will require a team to take down. Shards will be a major part of the economy and a true way to make money with gathering/harvesting skills and group skills!

Custom Client
We do have a custom client that we will be using, It is not a must but we have many sprites that make the map and items much more interesting and lifelike.

Barbarian

Pros: Deals large amounts of melee damage
Cons: Low shielding skill speed, Only a damage dealer


Paladin

Pros: Excellent tanker due to high base armor, and increased skill speed in shielding, Only "team" healer in Forsaken Grounds using minor heals and/or heal over time spells on themselves or party members.
Cons: Melee user however has slow skill speed in melee weapons compared to barbarian.


Ranger

Pros: Significant ranged damage dealer specializing in crossbows, bows, throwing weapons and using siege weapons.
Cons: Low Health and no melee capabilities



Wizard

Pros: Massive nuking class, deals large amounts of spell damage.
Cons: Low health and armor



Voodoomaster

Pros: Dealing Damage while healing yourself, Voodoomasters drain souls of enemys to restore there own mana and health supply.
Cons: Low health and armor
 
Ignore Wezza i turned him down for hosting because he wasn't a guy of patience and im looking for a hoster that really is excited about this project, putting heart into a project = success and i saw more of that in Jocce.
 
Whats actually the Website? I'd be intrested in checking the Beta out, also added you in Msn about it (I didnt send an E-Mail because most people have like 5k E-Mails in their storages and dont see new ones), but I cant see any link for a website.

That's because you have to ask him for a beta invite :p
 
Terrific seeing such good response to the server! had over 80 people come on the beta over a 2 hour period was tons of fun guys thanks for the help! Last beta tomorrow :)
 
To get ip you have to add me to msn and ill give you connection info (until release of server)
 
It's written that release is on 19th, and that's today for next half hour ;P
 
Not according to north american time, And we delaying a time cause theres one script thats a huge part of the server that has one thing wrong with it and our lua coder aint on for 2 more hours who needs to fix it.
 
Im not one of those otmakers who puts up a half done server that takes 2 weeks until it runs smoothe, the server will be perfect when it is put online.
 
Ok so official release (100%) No more beta nothing is going to be the 24th (Friday) Server is complete but we want to release the server on a friday when everyone has equal (most people) equal time to play :) cause weekdays many people are very busy.
