Map changes

u A Postman's door in a sandstone mine has been fixed.
u Thais Dragon cave had it's cosmetic treasure area fixed.
u Maze of Lost Souls dragon lair had it's cosmetic treasure fixed.
u Plains of Havoc dragon lair had it's cosmetic treasure room fixed.
u Some Stone Golem spawns in Demona have been slowed.
u An ambush in Thais Dragons has been changed.
u An ambush in Draconia has been changed.
u A second ambush in Draconia has been changed.
u Map bugs with Kazordoon Mountain Cave fixed.
u The Mountains of Kazordoon have recently been scaled by adventurous climbers and new cave systems have been found!
u Substantial Lore and Adventures have been added to the Shathur Dungeon (known as the Abyss).
u A great great many ambushes have been added to the Shathur Dungeon. Be on guard.
u The Beholder City of Hellgate has had substantial lore and other things added to it. If some adventurer in the past came across something interesting he may want to tread there again.

Dura Staff

Patch notes of October

u Heroism Loot has been raised from 1.6x Max Heroism to 2.0x Max Heroism. This means that loot from a Heroic monster has been raised even when not at Max Heroism, in simple terms: if a monster previously was at 'half' heroism it would have given 1.3x loot, now it will give 1.5x loot
u NPC Yahya's caravan will now depart during the first forty minutes of every hour, raised from the previous twenty, and the original ten.
u Bug causing a specific raid to spawn 2x as much fixed.
u Deactivated many 'mini-raids'. Most likely you will not notice them leaving; these raids never had a broadcast message.
u Rare bug which would cause Dwarf Geomancer to heal more than it should has been fixed.

We're repeating these patch notes to the community:
u Sallah NPC has come across new 'information'. Very Substantial.
u Faisal NPC has had lore expanded. Very Substantial.

Dura Staff

Map Changes

u The 'moat' in a Tomb has had many monsters added to it.
u The vampires in the Crypt of a Tomb have the possibility to be visited by a powerful relic of the past.
u Added traps in Pharaoh Quest branch in a tomb.
u The top floor of Ashta'daramai and Mal'ouquah have been changed.
u The less powerful monsters in the Family Chamber of a Tomb have been slowed.
u Various extreme lesser (e.g. rat) monsters throughout the moat and the rest of the branches (Family, Theristrut, Pharaoh, Crypt) it ramifies into have been greatly slowed.
u In a tomb there is a 'family chamber'. In this place some Blue Djinns were replaced with other, bigger monsters. There can be no doubt it is an effective buff for players.
u Also in this 'family chamber' the necromancers found with the Pharaoh Priest will have a much slower respawn time.
u In a tomb there is a 'dried out lake'. In that lake there are slime oozes. One of those slime oozes has it's spawn-time sped-up from what it was, slow, to 'normal' spawn time.
u In a tomb there is a 'crypt'. In this place near all 'smaller' monsters have a much slower respawn, 300% slower. In this same place 'middle' monsters will have a slower respawn, 200% slower.
u Also in this 'crypt' is an Elder Beholder. This Elder Beholder might change himself with age.
u All world changes in Khepresh deactivated indefinitely.
u There was a well inside the Slave Quarters of Khepresh, this was bugged, it is no longer bugged.
u A Postman's door in a tomb of The Kha'labal has been fixed.
u One rarely just happens across something tucked away. Entering a tomb (colloquially known as 'parrot' tomb) of Kha'labal will now require a player to do what the people who originally found it did -- aka the quest.
The players who have already completed this need to only do the last part of it again.

Regards,
Dura Staff

Fire Resistance Changes

Fire immunity and resistance has been altered drastically and extensively throughout all monsters:
u Removed completely on 33 non-raid monsters
u Removed completely on 12 raid monsters
u Reduced on 24 non-raid monsters
u Reduced on 25 raid monsters

For a full list of affected monsters, check out our discord.

I can't believe this server's still alive with the amount of corruption that happened in there, also used to be "Harder Tibia" but nowadays just feels like another Baiak Orshabaal OT xD

Care to elaborate? I'm kind of willing to get back to Tibia after years of break but dunno what to pick.

GM interferes a lot in interaction between players, from small (PKs, steal loot, etc.) to big (wars, hunted payments, etc.) so world's not as free as other servers and they use a lot the "Golden Rule" which makes it so doesn't matter if you follow the rules, if the GMs think you're no good for the server, they'll ban you under that reason.

Also server used to be "fun" difficult at first but now became "frustrating" difficult, dynamic challenges were fun at first but now it's just ways to burn your money and make you play more. In this server most of the times you get punished the more level you are. It's easy to level up and get involved so you'll only notice this after you get a bit into the server.

I'm talking about this after more than a year invested in the server. You can see that most of the old players stopped playing.

Thanks, saved a lot of my time. GL, hope you find a proper server (let me know if you do, might hop in too, lol).

Hunting Season!

The forests are losing their green hue as summer fades and a cold has set in over the land. Leaves announce themselves crackling through the woods for every hunter's ear, wild game of deer, wolf, and bear -- each a mighty prize for his family's bellies and his home's mantle. Every bowman and trapper ready to brag with their spoils in the local tavern! Tighten that bowstring and clean your traps -- Hunting Season is here!

Deer, Wolves, and Bears may be giving better spoils than normal. The player(s) who have the highest kill-count for each separate category of deer, wolf, and bear will receive prizes. As someone who use to be a GM for DURA and was removed from staff and NEVER told why I completely understand. even after years of asking for a reason, still "aris" refuses to answer. I just want to know what I did at one point XD More than likely I banned a botter who was a "good friend" atleast thats the only thing I can think of.

Dura's 3rd Year Anniversary

Congratulations everyone!

Three years in! It's been a tough one but we made it! Sidle on up to friend or foe and enjoy the local brew in the taverns of Dura!

For Dura's third anniversary, just as last year, each day a small venue in a given area, usually a town, will replenish your health and mana the more you celebrate! This area will be a Non-PvP zone where you cannot die to players but you can die to monsters. It is not a protection zone. Players will have to find the area on your own but it will usually be a fun spot like a tavern or a local hangout.

Therefore let the endless hours of clanking pint glasses, training and rune-making, story-telling of the past and dream-making of the future commence together!

Time of Event: Tuesday Server Save, November 14th 11:00 EST, to Tuesday Server Save, November 21st 11:00 EST.
Fair warning that concerning the event area(s) of each day griefing/sabotaging will not be tolerated. There is no counter-play to griefing since it is a non-pvp zone -- therefore a 30 day ban, or more, will be given out to those who grief the event.

Note: This event was originally scheduled to start on Monday the 13th of November until Monday the 20th of November but we have moved it a day forward since switching Network Providers necessiatated its delay.

Grateful Regards,
Dura Staff

The Dwarven Ale

In the heart of winter's icy grip, where the earth feels colder than a frost giant's breath, there brews a longing among the dwarven folk—a yearning that goes beyond mere desire. For what do these stout-hearted souls seek above all else to thaw their spirits and invigorate their weary souls? Beer!

Therefore behold as the calls to come in bellow out the door into the wintry night... gather round the grand hearth which warms the sturdy timber as it does you, where laughter resounds like the clang of hammer on anvil, where tales of valor and legendary battles are shared with fervor; joined by clinking mugs and hearty toasts filling the air. So, weary traveler, leave behind the frost-laden winds and enter this haven of warmth and camaraderie we call a tavern and have a pint.

Rapine!

In the low dead of night whispers of worry spread throughout the forlorn homes of Dura. The once sturdy and shining city walls find themselves cracked and abandoned. The simmering ambition of warlords and the hungry greed of chieftains converge upon the realm, sensing vulnerability as their bloodthirsty call to conquest. Each sharpened edge and restless footfall heralds the impending storm of chaos and pillage. The people of Dura trembles in uncertainty as the riders of destruction prepare to descend upon its unsuspecting domains.

Yet amidst the despair a glimmer of hope persists. The resilience of the realm, forged through trials of ages past, flickers in the hearts of its defenders. The spirit of unity, though frayed, remains unbroken in the resolve of those who still stand ready to protect their homeland. Whether Dura withstands this encroaching evil hinges upon the strength of its people's will to rise against the encroaching shadows and defend the legacy of their land.

From December 15th Friday Server Save 11:00 EST, to December 19th Tuesday Server Save 11:00 EST, Dura will have the following active:
All raids will be spawning at a much higher frequency

Not worth playing here. Even developers are kept in the dark about everything they develop, being new areas, sprites or quests. I talked to even one of the most prominent and oldest content contributor and he was still kept in the shadows for a bunch of things. He said he was quitting too.

Also I agree with what people said about the staff getting involved in wars.
I don't advise anyone to play here. The server declining population of around 45 old players, with no new players, should be a good indicator as to why.

I think it's 8-10 months of same population so server will not die
I am not sure if there's somebody who can trust these gms/owner even if new server starts
Once corrupted (on the beginning noob wars), always corruped (later helping teams when they said they quit if gm doesn't help them, etc)
