The kingdom of Thanata is known as a land of dreams, excellence and royalty... but that was many years ago. Now only what little hope some brave warriors have... remains...
The Whitemane family ruled the kingdom of Thanata for generations. And planned to do so for many years to come. The people respected them, as they were capable leaders, striving with an iron will as well showed incredible strength! Thus the Whitemane family was blessed by the Gods. But the blessings did not last.
The last and only son of the the Whitemane legacy, Alexandros Whitemane, lead his people towards prosperity. He was a humble man, however he had an amazing attribute an inhuman strength as many proclaimed. He was respectful to his people, for sure, a caring leader. One destined for greatness.
Until one day, of which will be remembered by all of Thanata, the beginning of death, destruction, and malice...
Stratholme, a kingdom under the commands of Thanata rule, fell under a terrible plague. The citizens became undead creatures, craving a lusted for blood. Decrepify surrounded nature, the whole ecology that once existed in Stratholme... perished.
Nobody knows where this plague came from, the sages of the Thanata suggest that only demonic powers could bring such devastation to a kingdom of such size.
Fearing the threat of demonic activity, Alexandros gathered his most loyal soldiers, and sailed to the distant lands of Azuria. Where he would communicate with the goddess Enya, and ask for help and hope to his people...
But Alexandros never came back...
4 years have passed since anyone saw Alexandros Whitemane after his departure.
And since the blessings of the king left. So did Thanata's.
Commander, Garithon Steelfist took control of Thanata. But as the rumors of Alexandros's disappearance spread over the land, Thanata's defenses weakened. People rebelled.
Spite Garithon's attemps to defend the kingdom, the fortress of Greenwood fell under the attack of Karumian outlaws...
Redwood fortress soon fell to the minotaurs after the loss of Greenwood...
There had been rumors of demonic summoning on the Thanarian Crypts
Through all of this despair and troublesome times there could only be something as terrible as this... Uldum's gate protecting the nature from the uncontrollable beats of within, was dismantled. Nothing is stopping these monsters from doing what they please.
Everyone suspects demonic activity after these events... the truth is undeniable. Some people have lost their will power to continue. Some have fled to the seas in hope to find an untouched piece of land... death surrounds Thanata.
The kingdom of Thanata may fall...
Thanata is in need of heroes. Heroes like yourself young warrior. Do you have what it takes? It takes strength, determination, passion, brute force, and whatever remaining hope you may have. So, will you answer to the prayers? Will you live up to the destiny laid before you? Or shall Thanata fall to the demonic forces dwelling beneath the earths crust. We have our own CUSTOM & PROFESSIONAL MAP. Our map is made almost 100% on RAW palette, it's a real piece of art. It's never been released before, never seen before and it's exclusive property of Thanatos.

PVP: Enabled untill Redskull ( No black skull and no ban from pking) Exp earned when killing someone of higer level.
Note : We DO NOT ADD any edited spells, Tibia's PVP is perfectly balanced as it is, and we won't unbalance it adding custom spells.
We do have custom spells, and custom spell sprites for our bosses.

~->Mounts!
All of our mounts are Custom made. Our mount system is very unique and it works perfectly. Different mounts give different bonus speeds, basing on the difficulty to obtain them. (Our mount system is NOT like RL tibia's).
~->Mining system
By mining you may extract mineral ores from ore nodes. Ores can be smelted and used to create almost all necessary reagents for engineering.
~->Smelting
By smelting, you can transform ores into a much pure metal alloy. it requires at least 2 ores to smelt 1 bar ( Caution! Ores may break in this process) bars are needed to create reagents for engineering.
~->Engineering system!
Engineering is a very unique feature of Thanatos. With engineering you can craft different items that have unique qualities. Some engineering items are involved in quests, others are made just for fun, and others can be very, very usefull.
It's important to say that only by engineering you can create the sockets for our Equip enhancement system.
~->Equipment Enhancement System!
In Thanatos, every single equipment can be Enhanced.
In order to enhance an item you need a socket (the squarey shaped item), when you use a socket on an equipment, you add slots to it. There is a maximum of 4 slots per equipment. Beware tho, sockets have a chance of breaking the selected item, the more slots, the harder to add another one. First slot has an 80% chance of working. Second slot has 60% chance of working, 3rd slot has a 40%... And finally the 4th slot has only a 20% chance of working. Approximately , only 1 of 16 items reaches the 4 slots.
Well, in the slots you can add Gemstones, gemstones are dropped by monsters, the stronger the monster, the better the gemstone.
There are 7 different types of gemstones ( atk, def, ml, speed, mana, hp, distance)
Logically, not all equipments can handle all the gemstone types, for example, you can't add a Distance skill gemstone to a sword.
Gemstones have certain limitations, for example, only mages can add magic level to their equipments. And to prevent an imbalance HP and MANA gemstones have different effects on the different vocations.
For example Knights get 100% bonus from HP gemstones, Paladins get 50% bonus and mages get 25% bonus. this means the following: If a knight equips (let's say) a gemstone that adds +100 hp, he will get the full amount. Paladins would only get +50 hp, and mages will only get 25 hp.
The same applies to mana, Mages get 100% of the stone, paladins 50% and knights 15%.

Instances are a very important part of Thanatos. In order to enter an instance you need at least 5 players. Our instances are very similar to World of Warcraft's. Instance monsters are much stronger than regular ones. Skill, and in some cases even strategy is needed to kill normal instance monsters. In every instance there is at least 1 boss. The instance's price is the boss's loot, as they drop the best obtainable items.
Our instance script is perfectly made, All instance monsters respawn ONLY once when the lever is pulled. so once you're inside you don't have to worry about the respawn. Instance monsters despawn once the team leaves the instance. In order to leave the instance you must use the command !leave instance, or log out, or leave your current party. If you die inside an instance, You will not loose your loot, yet, you WILL loose exp/skills.
~->Scripted Boss fights, that require strategy! (Never seen before)
Our boss fights are not as easy, and as boring as RL tibia's.
No, our boss fights require STRATEGY. If you don't follow the strategy that a certain boss requires, you probably will never beat it. All of our bosses are real challenges, they ARE balanced and perfectly doable if you follow strategies correctly.
